We've been playing TEN for a good consecutive number of years now, and even without Hax0r Troy and Woodley I think our chances are still good for some sort of win. GO PIT

Mr. Bradshaw had a running game.

I guess now we know why Mr. Bradshaw isn't impressed by individual player records.

So THAT'S why Bradshaw has a bug up his ass this week? Ohhhhhhhh.

Yeah, but that's not enough for me to pull for Rapey Ben and hope for anything else but for him to get de-cleated at some point.

My dead-lock-to-happen-exactly-as-I-say-and-why-I-say-it pick:

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans:
Pittsburgh is 2-2 overall, and 2-0 at home. All you math majors out there realize that means they're winless on the road so far this season, including a pretty embarassing loss to the Oakland Raiders. But the Titans are a mess right now, giving up more than 36 points/game while failing to hit the 15-point mark themselves in all but one contest. Rashard Mendenhall managed 5.2 yards/carry vs. the 12th-ranked Philadelphia run defense last week, leading me to believe he won't have much difficulty with Tennessee's 28th-ranked unit, while Ben Roethlisberger shouldn't have too much difficulty against their secondary, which ranks 25th and has managed just 7 sacks through 5 games. If the Steelers find a way to lose this one then all you Pittsburgh fans might as well start praying for a deal to get the NHL going...but I don't see either of those things happening. 34-10

I think it's a double whammy for Bradshaw. His record is going down and he absolutely hates Ben. Apparently Ben has been trying to get in touch with him and he doesn't want any part of it. Bradshaw ripped him a new asshole last season on Fox NFL Sunday, too. He really, really doesn't like the guy.

They're both dicks, it's just a question of how it manifests itself. Terry's just mad that Ben's an actual better quarterback than Terry was.

Not sure if serious?

Ben has a decent running game with Mendenhall and Ben himself runs for a first down on occasion.

Understood. Well, geez, if he's pissed at Big Ben taking his record away, don't go after my main man Drew on the side under some general "I don't care about records, I care about winning *INDIGNANT SNIFF*" initiative. Take it up with Roethlisberger! lol

The Steelets tend to always play bad on the road v.s. bad teams. This game could be alot closer than people think.

In the end, Ten's injuries will kill them, but it isn't likely to be a blowout.

Especially when Brees pointed out that the touchdown pass record was more a team effort over multiple seasons rather than an individual effort over a single season.

I might contend that it's still relevant since, you know, he raped several women and is lauded as some kind of hero because he does an OK job playing a silly game when he should be in prison.

You say this as if it were some kind of grand accomplishment.

There are second stringers in the league right now I'd take over Bradshaw, even at his best.

And I could contend that no, he didn't rape anyone (basing that on the fact that he was never convicted of raping anyone). Do you have proof otherwise or are you just spouting off?

Let me jump in here: I lived in GA, I know what the laws are pertaining to how long security footage should be kept. The whole case smelled of greenbacks flying around.

Of course his status as a wealthy white male football star who can afford lawyers who are experts in the cheapest and most vile tactics of character assassination would have nothing to do with not getting convicted of anything. Oh and Lord knows that the justice system is completely infallible and definitely isn't corrupted by the interests of the wealthy, especially in high-profile cases. Oh and the fact that multiple women, at varying times spread far apart (thus suggesting no influence of copycatting/bandwagoning), claimed he raped them surely means nothing as well. Yeah, you're right he's in the clear. Let's hope he wins that big football game! That's what is important!

So high profile cases involving people with money = innocence? I highly doubt that is really what you meant given the number of people who could be cited (just high profile with money and rape would be Mike Tyson off the top of my head).

I seem to think Ben put himself in stupid situations and since I was never present, could never say if he did or did not do anything illegal, but if you aren't convicted of a crime, then you have to fall back to the premise of innocent until proven guilty. You may not like it, you may not believe it (I for one do not believe O.J. was innocent), but in the eyes of the law, they are innocent.

And I'm not sure what your whole "Let's hope he wins that big football game! That's what is important!" point is unless you aren't a sports guy and just feel like trolling.

In any case, game is getting ready to start - on to more important matters than arguing.

Man, I really wish we had a car that wasn't about to fall apart, so we could have driven to Nashville tonight. It's less than two hours, and that stadium is empty. I know we could have gotten tickets for cheap as all hell.

Of course, Troy's not playing, so that would have upset me.
