How's that Kraut healthcare? Big titted nurses I'm guessing if they're anything like the beer wenches.

The salary floor's not going to clear itself, you know.

By the time this lockout is over I'll be fluent in Russian. Really wish the KHL had a Game of the Week where they use a second broadcast team in English for international viewers.

That should read 'England- 1' and 'Scotland- 1'. Scotland is still part of Britain, last I heard.

Good Lord, look at what the refs are wearing. They look worse than NASCAR drivers.

ESPN shows at least 1 KHL game a week but due to the contract they signed with KHL now it's a lot harder to stream other games from the KHL.

I watched 1 period of a game on Tuesday (I believe) and I just couldn't get into it. The level of play is really bad overall and just a few NHLers aren't going to make a whole game better. Sure, they'll provide some amazing highlights but I'm really dissapointed in the level of hockey in KHL.

At least the two sides are still talking even if the majority of talk is on secondary issues. However, if they get that ironed out today or tomorrow then they will have to talk about the core economic issues sooner rather than later. I read a tweet that they even talked core economic issues yesterday but very briefly (whatever that means).

I got an email offer today for The Hockey News and just had to laugh.
What are they going to report on?
I know there's more to hockey than the NHL but isn't the NHL the whole point of the magazine?
Even more hilarious was the T-shirt offer.
No team logo just a blank Reebok shirt.

I really question the logic of some players who went overseas. Look I know they have to stay in game shape but man, some of those leagues(especially the KHL) are shady at the best of times. Not to mention the risks you take just living there. Trying to remember the player who had a steel freezer door installed on his apartment(they brought a torch and cut it off the next time they broke in).

Russia is kind of like a gigantic Michigan, so you take your chances going there, but some places are pretty nice. Playing in Switzerland or Germany for the price of insuring your multimillion dollar contract is a lot more sensible than playing pick up hockey in Chicoutimi to stay in shape, while paying for your own insurance.

He's not. And I will go to my grave with the satisfaction of having beat his ass. He's a punk with a big mouth that suddenly becomes really nice when his teammates get tired of him starting shiat.

Honestly playing for the Swiss or German leagues would make a lot more sense than Russia. At least there the team isn't hiring bodyguards for it's star attractions.

He used to try to get into a bar I bounced at when he played for the Sound Tigers and was underage. I ended up taking his fake one night and he blew up, start pushing and swinging, expecting his teammates to back him up. I proceeded to beat his ass in front of the bar. He tried to have me arrested but the cops saw 75% of it and apparently have had issues with him in the past. Even his teammates apologized for him. I got the impression most didn't like him much. And he still tried to sneak in a few times after that.

I dunno, that was like 10 years ago. I have a friend who deals with the Islanders a lot for work and he says DP's cool. Maybe he calmed down as he grew up.
