Well it's not like they're going to have much of a choice in the upcoming weeks. They're facing a pretty brutal stretch of pass rushers.

regardless of where the Redbirds draft, the most obvious needs will be OL and RB and QB. we've drafted very poorly at those positions over the past decade.

another problem for Arizona is that we'd normally have the TEs helping out to chip the edge rush. Well, thanks to a personal foul penalty on some Patriot crca Week 3 (the missed FG game), some Patriout knocked out our #1 TE and he, aisde from leaving that game, hasn't played since but should return.

so i floated the idea (not original, it has popped up in other leauges but never come to fruition) is that on a personal foul penalty, if a player is injured, the offender has to sit the same number of games. I forget if it was flagged for late hit or OOB but either way, our guy hasn't played due to a personal foul penalty.

which means one less guy to help the line, whether in pass pro or as an receiver.

thecpt: What's your logic behind Mendenhall? Because srsly Gore is going to find holes in NYG and Bradshaw is worth it unless its not a PPR league. Either way I wouldn't start rashard.

Not that I know things, but Gore vs. NYG looks like the 2nd best matchup (after Richardson against CIN) - Giants are pretty bad against the run this year.

Bradshaw: Giants are a good running team, but SF is a great run stop team

New England is a great running team, and SEA is a great run defense : SEA is at home. I might leave this alone

PIT vs. Tennessee is the opposite: PIT can't run and TEN can't stop the run. I'd take this matchup, too, if only because PIT will pass all over TEN to a big early lead then pound it the rest of the way. Plus, you've been waiting 5 weeks to get some use out of Mendenhall

Ha, the only reason I ducked in was to say I picked up Kolb off FA wire this week because he's got Buffalo this weekend. My QB, Phillip Rivers, has been lullinmg me to sleep with his exactly average season (ranked 16th quarterback in my league right now)

I do remember that now, immediately after it happened a lot of people were calling him out. But IIRC, after it came out that he had a torn MCL, the focus started shifting toward him looking pouty, and people begrudgingly giving him respect for staying in while Martz did his best to get him killed.

But I may be remembering through orange colored glasses, and you are probably right.

It was a sad day, the first time I had to start defending Cutler from stupid accusations. As someone would like to say, I did suggest that Cutler maybe didn't even have diabetes, he just used diabetes in order to incur sympathy after blowing a playoff position by losing several games to close out a season (then did it the next year when he supposedly had his diabetes under control).

So you know that when I'm making sh*t up like that and even I have to say you're being goddamn ridiculous with your criticism of him, you're probably being ridiculous.

/then again, I was more bummed that that took the attention off how god-awful he was prior to his injury. I would've been happier with him finishing the game the way he was playing.

I guess you missed MJD calling him a quitter after the NFC championship game a couple of years ago (after he wimped out and missed the last two games of the season himself).
