Infowars, the site run by the guy who thinks 9-11 was an inside job and vaccines are a plot by the WHO to make everyone sterile.

The TSA can do whatever they want, once people get fed up and stop flying, can can just spend the rest of their days playing ass-grab

Sounds like tinfoil hat stuff.
...but just in case it isn't, it should be known that any politician who lets this come to pass under their watch will never receive my vote ever again.

/and I don't care which party he's in or how nice a guy the tv says he is.

Please please please let this be the paranoid rantings of a fear mongering idiot and not something congress has planned for next year.

So someone tried to sell this to the TSA, and the TSA showed interest. It never actually came to pass. BOO!

Yeah, Alex Jones has turned crying wolf into a fantastically profitable enterprise.

But it's still bullshiat.

Honestly, the people who would like this idea the best would be the terrorists.

Step one, slip insulator between wristband and skin
Step two, hack the control system and disable all passengers at once.
Step three, kill crew
Step four fly plane into building of your choice

Wirelessly triggered tasers? TSA-grade quality equipment?

Hahaha, you KNOW how this story is going to end.

2012-10-11 02:28:04 PM
Ahem....

Taser is a registered trademark of that corporation and is not to be applied in a generic fashion to other electrical stun devices. Like how it's facial tissue, not Kleenex, or in-line skating vs Rollerblading. It's especially confusing in this case because a TASER is a PROJECTILE DEVICE.

That out of the way, the TSA would be in violation of it's own rules about stun devices in carry on baggage.

That was fun. Do you have any more news stories written entirely about something that isn't happening?

Wouldn't that cancel it out?

Holy FSM, can we please *never* link to that site ever again? If A-Jo told me the sun was going to rise tomorrow in the east, I'd want independent verification.

Whenever Truthers ask who profited from 9/11, I always think of him first.

I think this is hilarious -- I love the idea that this would get far enough to be used.

Terrorists don't have to bring weapons, they can get an entire planeload of people just by acting up in an airport... "I'm not going along with your CRAP" -- ZAP -- AAAAAHHHH (dozens of writhing, shrieking, average flyers -- hysterical children with brain injuries, etc)

Granted it would only work ONCE -- before everybody involved with approving the idea spent the rest of their lives in litigation

2012-10-13 03:27:09 PM
Why would anyone subject themselves to this crap?
Even without the bracelets, why, oh why would anybody WANT to put themselves through this kind of humiliation?
Except for the direst of work emergencies, there is nothing that could force me onto an airplane.
I have not flown anywhere in 12 or 13 years because of this crap. And I do not see it ending any time soon.

The days of flying off to see Gramma at Xmas with the kids are well and truly over.
Unless maybe you like being held down by goons while your wife & children are groped and tasered in front of your eyes. Then your shiat is stolen by these same goons.
