/I wonder how future generations will look back at this era.

Gah, even the Teddy Roosevelt Park is slated, how despicable.

Beautiful park. I back-country camped in the North Unit last year and the following morning there was a small herd of bison no more than 100 feet outside my tent. Go there before North Dakota puts a ring of drilling rigs around the park.

Too late. They're right outside the entrance to the park, and the highway between Watford City and the North Unit is littered with piss bottles (and other things) from the rig rats that can't bother to use a bathroom.

That's a damn shame. The only consolation is that the well has to run dry eventually. I hope the companies are on the hook for the tear down and cleanup.

I'd be all for mining at Grand Teton National Park as long as it drastically lowered the value of the Dick Cheney's property and ruined his quality of life. Just joking, it would probably increase the value of his property and make him happy to watch of the wilderness turn into a mining dead zone.

Oh and

Pathetic comment turnout for one of our most important issues.
That said, some of the comments in here were pure awesome. Great pics, fozziewazzi. :)
