I'm sure it's not because they're overrated, given that they've struggled in pretty much every game they've played in recent weeks.

BTW, remember Towson, the team that scored 22 on LSU and had a lead for much of the game? Yeah, they scored 10 in a loss the next week to James Madison.

/to be fair, James Madison was ranked No. 5 in the FCS poll, so they're pretty good

LSU struggled against Towson at home. Perhaps they just aren't very good?

I shouldn't say "much," just "some".

It's too bad it was hot and humid for just the one team...

Or perhaps LSU's offensive sucks, as Alabama proved last year.

it was actually quite mild in gainesville. shiat....people are wearing coats in north florida this week.

The really unfair thing for LSU? They have to play half of their remaining games on hostile, hot, and humid turf against the best conference in the country. By that I mean they have home games remaining.

South Carolina will expose whatever weakness they have and slake their thirst on the blood of the purple tiger, should they be overrated as you say. I'm sure that most UGA fans would grudgingly agree, or even freely agree at this point.

SCar is overrated, too, but oh well. (or maybe appropriately rated but it's not like they're significantly better than the rest of the top 10-15...except maybe Georgia).

I hate one sided Florida weather. It made the Jags lose to the Bears last weekend too.

The Jags did inexplicably say "hey, let's wear black!"

True but LSU had their running game back and their O-Line and they had a QB that was supposed to be able to throw this year. The O-Line has collapsed due to injury and other factors and Metzy is not the QB everyone thought he was.

Schadenfreude!

I'm not saying it was the humidity... but it was the humidity!

tbhouston: name one team with a harder schedule

I wasn't aware that playing a tough schedule meant you were a good team. It's certainly never accepted when Pac-10 (now 12) teams had the toughest schedules in the nation year after year.

I live in New Orleans, grew up in Baton Rouge. I've been to central Florida, and points south (most recently, Tampa in August.)

As someone conditioned to heat and humidity, Florida humidity is other-worldly. At least in Louisiana, I can make it to my car, and crank the air conditioning on before being completely soaked. In Tampa, I would start sweating the second I got out of the car. I couldn't believe it.

That has fark all to do with why LSU lost last weekend, but I just wanted to point out that Florida humidity (when it's bad) is a mother for ANYBODY.

As a long-time St. Pete resident I'm not sure I agree. Sure the humidity is hell here, but I've also spend a fair amount of time in New Orleans in the summer and I won't necessarily say it's worse, but it's still pretty damn impressive. Especially when you're sleeping off a drunk in your car.

No, LSU did not claim it lost Saturday because of the weather. They said that lost because Florida was fresh and played all four quarters while they tired out and couldn't finish the game.

Then again, subtard probably also submits links from TownHall

Wait, I thought it was LSU that proved Alabama's offense (and kicking game) sucked last year?

Wait, we talking about the first game that didn't count? Or the second real game? And if Alabama loses to LSU again in the regular season this year are they going to beg for a rematch?
