they have no record of the child's name in their records

Did they check *ALL* the records? Sometimes they can get stuck between those double albums. I don't know how many times I've found stuff in the fold of "Endless Summer" by the Beach Boys or "Kiss Alive!".

There needs to be a special place in Hell where the thief will go when he dies...that the devil has a Makita screw gun and drills sheetrock screws in and out of his skull and testicles for all of eternity.

I bet the parents were English majors and couldn't stand ending the epitaph with a preposition. And since they are English majors, it took this long to save enough money to replace it.

Someone told the story of their deceased child named Quinn in a thread, and was made fun of for the placement of the remains in their house. The story was confirmed as real, and some jackhole decided to turn it into a meme anyway. It's one of the most disgusting moments on fark that I've ever seen.

Yes, it was disgusting to see someone using his babyquarium as a way to get attention and to make people feel bad for daring to wonder why the Duggars didn't give up having children before they Mama Duggar could no longer carry them to term...

You would think that they would check the phonebooks for existing Kjellbergs, which is not a name so popular as Smith or Jones. I googled Kjellberg and Omaha and got hits immediately. I suppose that a few police calls to Kjellbergs will make the connections needed to identify the grave. That is an expensive plaque too, I would go to the local gravestone and plaque designers to see if anyone can recognize the design and see who was casting these back in the 80s.

Have you tried small steaks or chicken breasts over an open fire pit. Little messy on the shirt eating them off the stick, but OMG good.

I will not filk "Quinn the Embryo".

(No, I did my Filk Quotient this week with "Der Zabi's Face". Someone else will have to write that filk. :D)

In all seriousness, though, to the original poster...do a search on Google for "Babyquarium", and all will be revealed :D

And for those who REALLY don't get the reference, and can't be arsed to look through 1000+ posts in the other thread:

Thread was getting into a lively discussion on the Duggars and whether it really was a Wise Idea for the Duggar family to continue dropping God Warriors at the risk of Mrs. Duggar's future health and reproductive potential (some discussing this reasonably, some in decidedly snarkier terms), when the Owner Of The BabyquariumTM pretty much blatantly and explicitly started using his wife's miscarriage in an attempt at earning brownie points by full-out Operation Rescue-style attention-whoring (which included posting pics of said BabyquariumTM).

Fark being Fark, this went about as well as expected, and at least some folks attempted to explain (some gently, some...not so much) that perhaps it was a Really Bad Idea to have attempted to drive a point home by attention-whoring like this, and that it would be a bad idea ANYWHERE but especially on Fark (there are only three places I can think of on the Internet that would have been less appropriate, those being called 4chan, Something Awful, and Ogrish respectively; I also expect Reddit would have taken the stunt about as well as Fark would have, only with more volume).

Owner Of The BabyquariumTM, alas, did NOT take the gentle and not-so-gentle hints and proceeded to actually double down on this--not just in the thread mentioned, but in a subsequent thread (which ended up being nuked by the Fark mods, the first time I've EVER seen that in about twelve years of lurking on Fark).

This, in turn, went about as well as you can expect it would on Fark, which is to say that the Owner Of The BabyquariumTM became the Virtual Honk Bag for a good portion of the membership.

(The really sad thing on all this? Owner Of The BabyquariumTM would have actually made his point better without the attention whoring, and if he'd gotten the hint when people tried to explain this to him (including at least one person who'd HAD a miscarriage)...well, things MIGHT have gone marginally better. Unfortunately, the Owner Of The BabyquariumTM also had a history PRIOR to the Babyquarium Incident, including one where he outright called a fellow Farker a "murderer" for having to make a heartbreaking choice to have an abortion in full-out Operation Rescue slut-shaming style, so I'm not sure that a clue delivered by A-10 Warthog and/or MOAB would have gotten through his skull.)

Pushing back on an AW is one thing - that was rightfully done in the thread. But the backlash went beyond that - and I think turning a dead kid into a meme is disgusting. I'm not sorry for having an opinion on this.

If it had been anyone else, I don't think that would have even been attempted. In fact, anyone else giving that same story without the picture, and without the smug "you're a failure if you're childless, you're a murderer if you've had an abortion" posts would have gotten sympathy or stories from people who had been through similar situations.

But the person who introduced the babyquarium was so goddamned smug, and such an major asshole, and begging for attention, and spoiling for a fight... I'm not going to say he was asking for it, but I think he got the exact reaction he wanted.

But it's not about him, is it? I mean, the meme isn't "Quinn's dad is a jerk" - his handle hasn't been mentioned once in this thread, and it doesn't show up in threads about stupid parents. Instead it's a meme about a cremated child inside a memorial box. That's just not right.
