(Foodbeast)   Pumpkin Pie Spice. White Chocolate Peppermint. You might think new Starbucks flavors, but Pringles chips' R&D department would argue otherwise   (foodbeast.com) divider line 69

bungle_jr: only one of these that sounds appetizing is CINNAMON AND SUGAR...i love cinnamon & sugar crispy things
i love pumpkin pie. it's the ONLY pumpkin/pumpkin spice thing i like.
and no way in hell should a potato product taste like white chocolate peppermint

There used to be a brand of corn chips that made a cinnamon sugar flavour. Delicious. Haven't seen it in years.

Are they researching how to make me puke? Unless they're planning to release this in Japan I don't see it doing well. Unless morbid curiosity sales are their plan.

You don't know what you're missing out on. They're bloody delicious.

whatshisname: No, you have tah-mah-toe sauce flavoured crisps. And Chicken Tikka Masala and Prawn Cocktail and all sorts of flavours that taste just fine after 11 pints.

Hah! Where as you have tuh-may-toe eh, that aboot the size of it? ;-)

Prawn cocktail is actually damned close to ketchup-flavored, just slightly more vinegary and slightly sweeter. You've got to use your imagination on those. Not tried the tikka masala, but I'd put money on them being delicious.

FunkOut: Ketchup chips have been around in Canada since the late 60s.

Do you mind sending me some Tikka Masala Pot Noodles? Those are awesome.

I can't make that claim for the UK, largely because *I* haven't been around since the late 60s. They've been around in the UK for as long as I can remember, though.

Pot noodles? For the love of god, I think you've chosen the one British foodstuff that is absolutely VILE. I'm a Brit, but I cannot stomach those things. Perhaps because I'm a Brit who grew up in Asia, only got to the UK once or twice a year, and is aware what the flavor and texture of ramen noodles is actually supposed to be like. (Doll and Nissin FTW.)

I'm actually living in the States now, but will be in the UK this time next week. Quite a few things will be on my list to eat while I'm there. Pot noodles will not be one of them.

The morbid curiosity strategy seems to work pretty well for Jones Soda and Jelly Belly.

Although thinking about it, Jones Soda seems to have stopped doing the freaky soda flavors thing. Can't remember the last time I saw one. For some strange reason, that makes me sad, even though the Turkey & Gravy and Mashed Potatoes with Butter flavors made me want to retch.

I love white chocolate flavoured stuff, anyone have any good recipes they'd like to share?

I used to love sour cream and onion pringles... But they just dont taste nearly as good as they did ~10 years ago or so. Used to have actual visible sour cream powder and dehydrated chive bits. Now its just salt and flavor chemical bits. Just not the same :( The only pringles that are decent these days are Pizza

They've really improved them, the curry ones come with a packet of mango chutney.

Quite simply the best crisps ever

Yeah, that's not helping. They were badly overflavored to start off with, I can only imagine how awful adding chutney would make them.

"...must be Japan" was my first thought on reading this headline. I wonder if they'll show up here. I admit, I'd get them out of morbid curiosity, which is how I end up buying a lot of things here.

/the mayo and cheese Pringles are delicious
//the EspresSoda (espresso+soda water) nearly made me puke

"I think Pringles' initial intention was to make tennis balls. But on the day that the rubber was supposed to show up, a big truckload of potatoes arrived. But Pringles was a laid-back company. They said "F**k it. Cut 'em up."

RIP Mtich

FunkOut: snake_beater: jprogram: Who laughed when they introduced the ketchup flavor?

Not me.

/then again, I live in Canada and ketchup-flavoured chips are apparently a Canadian thing

They look like scabs.

You have just given me a great idea to serve ketchup chips as scabs for halloween.

/I love ketchup chips!

Oh man, this. This, this, this. Last time I ate some of those was after being out at a bar with some friends, and those combined with some (knockoff) cheetos actually made me wake up two hours later and go vomit; I seriously was not even drunk, it was something about those snacks.

We have a Lays version of that in Canada. Sour cream and bacon is even better.

I say, how about the triple-threat-B chips?

Lolly.
