Mentat: sperm-hunting ovarian anti-rape missiles
Mentat: Hey, if Todd Akin wasn't on the Science Committee, how would we fund research into sperm-hunting ovarian anti-rape missiles?
Girl From The North Country: There are 23 Republican members on this committee. Sadly, something tells me these 5 are not outliers.
lucksi: USA USA USA
johnnyrocket: lucksi: USA USA USAMore like:GOP GOP GOP
AmbassadorBooze: Yadda yadda, government we deserve......
CapeFearCadaver: Mentat: Hey, if Todd Akin wasn't on the Science Committee, how would we fund research into sperm-hunting ovarian anti-rape missiles?Yeah, it's pretty cool what vaginas can do these days...
WizardofToast: Stay in school, kids.
AllUpInYa: It's a sad state, but Maddow doesn't seem like she's much sharper. But her job only requires that she be able to read.
JAYoung: Unfortunately for America, even if our leaders don't believe in science, there are plenty of other countries out there that do, and they will clean our clocks in the 21st century if we do not get rid of these idiots.
xynix: The vast majority of these people are just plain stupid.. They got elected by equally stupid people.I'm not a scientist or anything but it's pretty clear why those guys won the award. Being able to observe changes at the quantum level will allow us to then manipulate things at the quantum level.. Once we're at the level to manipulate and then observe we'll have a viable quantum computing base. From then on it's huge.. Perhaps by 2025 we'll have our first QC processor which will be thousands of times faster than standard silicon processors. Thousands!
Byno: AllUpInYa: It's a sad state, but Maddow doesn't seem like she's much sharper. But her job only requires that she be able to read. You sound concerned that both sides are bad.Of course, I can't find any Oxford degrees amongst the Republicans listed, so I'll take your word for it.
DonQuixote314159: FTFA:Rachel Maddow ripped Republican members of the House Science Committee on her Tuesday MSNBC show, contrasting their science-related comments to the scientists who won the Nobel Peace Prize. They won the Nobel Prize in Physics, not the Nobel Peace Prize, dumbass article writer. /Didn't watch the video, so I don't know if Rachel Maddow made the same mistake
MugzyBrown: I'm sure the congressmen and senators who wrote the The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act are all experts in following professions
MugzyBrown: Against people without knowledge on the Science, Space, & Tech committee, but I'm sure the congressmen and senators who wrote the The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act are all experts in following professions that all interact in the national economy:Medical ProfessionalsPharmaHealth InsuranceMedical Equipment ManufElectronic Medical Record Systems TechnologyMacro/Micro EconomicsI'm sure that broad, sweeping law was perfectly sculpted to make sure all of these industry groups and more interact without problem
mainstreet62: Can we require an AP Exam grade of at least a 4 in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Calculus if any of these morons want to be on the Science committee?
This is why we can't have nice things.
LittleKidLover: FTFA:Maddow's producers played a clip of Rep. Paul Broun telling supporters that evolution and the big bang theory "are lies straight from the pit of hell."
