Knock it off with the Ann Coulter gay/man jokes. You're actually insulting all gay/trans people, not just by lumping the hateful Ann Coulter in with them, but by implying that their state is one they should be ashamed to be in. You are the very definition of not helping.

I have to agree. It's not helping, and it's meanspirited and overlooking the fact that she's an evil creature.

That said, considering how often conservatives keep talking about the PC police and how people are overly sensitive, it does seem like their skin is ridiculously thin.

No, I just think you are and the vast majority of people complaining about things like "all the misogynist attacks on female GOP members?" are the exact same ones who complain about how mean saying anti-women legislation over the last year is a "war on women" is and are always the first to cry about the race card and the PC police when any attempt to look at issues facing women and minorities is made.

I actually agree with RMinusQ on this point, though I've been quiet about it. It doesn't change the fact that people like you are sanctimonious, thin-skinned hypocrites.

The saddest part for me is that Thomas Sowell should know better than to shill for Ann Coulter. He's written his own critiques of race, racism and the economic factors before, starting at least with 1975's Race and Economics. Sowell is one of those guys, like David Horowitz and a fair amount of the neoconservatives who actually did profess to be actual Marxists during the 1960's. He underwent one of those classic Neo-Marxist "dialectical materialism" shifts---a pendulum swing for him. He worked for as a government intern for awhile and saw the failures in carrying out LBJ style 'Great Society' programs. But rather than focus on specific criticisms he shifted wholesale to neoconservative kool-aid--the kind that professes that you can have both 'small-government' economic libertarianism at the same time that you have a huge bloated worldwide military and use it to periodically fark with people halfway across the world. Just to fark with them. At the same time he's obsessed with race--seeing the concept as the downfall of everything everywhere--the universal boogeyman. Its sad, and one the few things I agree with Pat Buchanan on--one of the fewer things more pathetic than an actual Marxist in this day and age is a neoconservative Trotsky-ite like Thomas Sowell.

Hey, conservatives! Ann Coulter thinks that America "owe[s] black people something."

Link

Coulter said that she thought that "civil rights are for blacks" because the U.S. has a "legacy of slavery and Jim Crow laws."

...

Stephanopoulos interrupted Coulter asking, "Immigrant rights are not civil rights?" Coulter confirmed that she only thinks "civil rights are for blacks."

She argued, "What have we done to the immigrants? We owe black people something. We have a legacy of slavery. Immigrants haven 't even been in this country."

Yeah, let's all listen to Al Sharpton and others with a big shovel in the racism industry instead.

To puff up their role as defenders of blacks, it has been necessary for Democrats and their media supporters to hype the dangers of "racists." This has led to some very creative ways of defining and portraying people as "racists."

This read less like an opinion column from one of the nation's best known black conservatives, and more like a book report from a 5th grader. "The title of this book is 'Mugged' and the subtitle is 'Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama'. It is 217 pages long. It is about how liberals try to make you feel bad for saying that minorities are criminals. I give it A MIIIILLLION STAAARS."

Neither Coulter nor Sowell seems to notice that in both the edited and unedited videos of the Rodney King incident, the police are shown SAVAGELY BEATING a perpetrator, not merely subduing him. It doesn't matter if King was a career criminal or had resisted arrest or anything else; they had no justification for doing to him what they did.

Mmmmmmm, yes. I do seem to remember we were talking about Ann Coulter, who referred to Sandra Fluke as being impregnated by Bill Clinton backstage at the DNC and called Fluke's DNC speech a "live abortion." I just want to be clear about this.

Not to defend Mr. Coulter, but I was fantasizing about impregnating Sandra Fluke as well...

Knock it off with the Ann Coulter gay/man jokes. You're actually insulting all gay/trans people, not just by lumping the hateful Ann Coulter in with them, but by implying that their state is one they should be ashamed to be in. You are the very definition of not helping.

So gays and the transgendered are incapable of sometimes being evil hate-filled monsters? Gotta question your logic there Gary.

I do see your other point though, as a male with a functioning penis, I don't want Coulter lumped in with me either.

There is some validity to this. Just call ann a hatemonger - its pobably the most accurate term for her given she posts hate, profits off hate, spews hate, and te only people who actaly defend her are hatemongers in their own right. We've alread got one in here now, and I'm sure there will be more to come.

Besides, there's no hyperbole involved if you call Coulter a hatemonger.

If the Republicans had more black people they'd play the race card alot more.

Just look at Herman Cain and Allen West. They call their critics racist all the time. Herman Cain said the only reason Jon Stewart made fun of him on the Daily Show is because he's black.

It's like Ann Coulter takes the entire context and resonance out of history, cherry picks a couple facts that suit her narrative, and then completely rewrites it the way she wants it to be. Something exactly like that...

100% correct.

Meh. 75% correct. Sometimes a joke is just a joke. Like Well-Dressed-Down-Syndrome-Guy. I think that's a little mean, but A, he's just so damned well dressed and somebody took a full blown photoshoot of him sitting in front of a computer. That's just too damned convenient, and B, it's funny as hell.

Mann Coulter isn't annoying because it impugns gay people or transexuals (any more than telling someone that he's so deep in the closet he's having tea with Mr. Tumnus impugns homosexuals) Mann Coulter is annoying because it's like a farking decade old jab at her.

Ann Coulter's role now isn't "pretty blond shill who doesn't have too screechy of a voice", so making fun of her "completely unattractive appearance coupled with an Adams apple that puts Bill Nye to shame and a voice that sounds like Thurston Howell swallowed Isaac Hayes" isn't so relevant. Now she's the "hateful intellectual who has carved out a position as professional troll in an effort to sell books to the lowest common denominator while occasionally making the talk show circuit to plug her latest literary bowel movement."

I'm not sure if there's something nice and concise to use there... maybe I'll just stick with Mann Coulter because calling a woman a man is still insulting to that woman, just as calling a man a woman is insulting to that man.

Good point. In 2008 all the liberals and media people were talking about the historic nature of Obama's presidency due to his race. In 2012 not so much. The only ones I hear talking about race are Republicans. Lately my right wing friends/family have become very concerned about racism against white people. They're all hitting me with the same "white guilt" talking point lately alleging if Obama was white I wouldn't be voting for him again.

Usually, cross-dressers do not spend several decades of their life without a single instance of presenting themselves as their birth gender. If they did, they would generally be considered transgender. Transgender does not mean that surgical steps have been taken.

A "being an asshole" issue is different from a civil rights issue. This is the former, not the latter. You might have been clued in to that by the fact that I never mentioned anyone's rights.

That, and the fact that, to accurately state the positions of the party he white knights, the party actually has to have positions. At least, more positions than "TAX CUTS R GUD" and "OBAMMER R BAD".

Just a little make-up and Ann Coulter will be a great Phssthpok.

No need to insult Niven's work that way. Although, I do think she would make an excellent Skeksis if anyone wanted to do a non-muppet "Dark Crystal."

So the term transexual man is actually offensive to transexuals MTF transexuals. I'm a transgender woman. Not a transgender man.If the person was a FTM transexual the term transexual man would be appropriate. She's also not a transexual so implying she is or stating that she is or whatever is actually demeaning to trans folk.

As Ann pointed out, her book isn't about minorities, but about a long history of tonedeaf white liberals pretending to be the spokesmen for minorities while at the same time releasing torrents of racist hate against black conservatives.

"After President George W. Bush appointed Condoleezza Rice the first black female secretary of state, she was maligned in racist cartoons portraying her as Aunt Jemima, Butterfly McQueen from "Gone With the Wind," a fat-lipped Bush parrot and other racist cliches.

Kevin Baker didn't notice any of that because he was working on his theory that referring to your sons is racist.

When Michael Steele ran for senator from Maryland, he was depicted in blackface and with huge red lips by liberal blogger Steve Gilliard. Sen. Charles Schumer's Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee dug up a copy of Steele's credit report -- something done to no other Republican candidate.

Is that more or less racist than Romney mentioning his sons? More or less racist than the word "apartment"?

Mia Love, a black Republican running for Congress in Utah had her Wikipedia page hacked with racist bile, heavy on the N-word. Her campaign headquarters has been bombarded with racist graffiti and slimy mailings with pictures of Klansman next to photos of her family. "

Or we could just choose to not use gender as a cudgel...

... except when it's funny.

Lets start with the first four - out of line, undeserving wishes. They should know better.

link number five - google search result, not actual links.

Obama's metaphor, not the same as wishing for the new york times to be blown up, especially at a time when conservatives were bringing weapons to events.

Chris Matthews - While I actually don't get the Mr. Big or the C02 reference, it doesn't sound funny to me. Shouldn't have been said.

Then there are the two freerepublic links. Whining from a site known for allowing death threats to Obama to be posted and a haven for hatemongering from republcans, with notable gems updated near daily on Freep-Impact. Yeah, seeing a lot of hypocracy in that pair.
