Well you see, when a human and a dinosaur love each other very much....

yowza.

Were those guys supposed to be defenders of the island or something? The article made mention of them being mercenaries of sorts, but I just can't see them walking around Manhattan unnoticed. Well, maybe not Chicago.

It's for Super Mario Bros. 2.

Maybe. I'd still have watched it on SciFy if they'd camped it up. It's certainly no worse an idea than DinoCroc vs. Megashark.

They should set it far in the future when dinosaurs rule the world and create a park where they have cloned humans and the humans fark shiat up.

Ok, am I the only one who thinks human-dinosaur hybrid mercenaries could be an awesome movie if it was like the Expendables?

Definitely not a Jurassic Park movie, but it's own thing?

I'd watch it.

I had an idea for a movie with similar gun toting dinosaurs. Course, there were also gun toting chimps with short range jet-packs, zombies, chupacabra, cattle muti... you know, this is gold, I'd better keep it to myself.

Never been to Halloween Horror Nights in the Jurassic Park Island in Islands of Adventure... They did that there and it was freaking amazing. They had the scientist actually crossed with dinosaurs. So some had half human, half dino faces and their bodies were mutating as well. Dino hands, feet, sometimes it was just the eyes and teeth. They made it possible.

I had the thought of loading my Beretta with blanks and doing some scaring of my own at HHN, see how the monster dudes like it. Sadly I dont think the general public would share my LOLZ.

This idea could be a movie but it's too schlocky to be in the Jurassic Park franchise and obviously Spielberg or whoever's in charge realized that.

I hope you do know that it's illegal to carry a firearm to amusement parks or public gatherings like that even if you have a concealed carry permit.

And since 9/11 all the Florida theme parks started searching your bags as you come in. Of course you can strap a handgun to your leg and put a block of C-4 into the pocket of a pair of cargo pants so it's all bullshiat theater pretending to be security but still, I think they would prosecute if they did find it.

At least with the first movie they tried to make it somewhat believable. Not believable but within the confines of sci-fi they at least took a stab at making it plausible with a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief. We can clone animals now. If we had dino DNA isn't not inconceivable that we could make dinosaurs. They even addressed issues like DNA gaps, etc. But dino-humans, that was a Star Trek: Voyager episode.

In fairness, that was about dinosaurs evolving into creatures intelligent enough that they were capable of space travel. My only point, is that cloning and what not wasn't involved in that episode.

But as other's noted, crossing human DNA with some other animal is so hackneyed. You could ask random people on the street what the plot should be for Jurassic Park IV and you'd get better, more original ideas.

Hmm... I would have been okay with it. After all, a major theme of Jurassic Park is about evolution... The whole "nature finds a way" thing. They certainly could have gone that direction and made it work. Also, with those creatures walking around, the movie could have been crazy scary. I could use a good nightmare inducing movie. Haven't seen one in a while.

Well I wasn't referring to that specific episode but the concept sounds like some ridiculous premise that Voyager would feature, like the captain and pilot turning into salamanders because of transwarp drive or the Vulcan and the guy from Benson fusing together because of a transporter accident.

Big JP fan here, and i would've seen the fark out that film... .Yeah, some of the designs are better than others, and yeah, they're jumping in the shark, but with Speilberg producing, and a huge budget, i'm sure it would've been somewhat cool. I always had pictured raptors, with like machine guns strapped on their back.

It's a Spielberg film: He'd either shoop the guns into radios, or they wouldn't work correctly. Last time a gun worked correctly in a Spielberg film was when Indy shot that guy with a big sword.
