132 is definitely a stretch.
Isn't there that chromosome-shortening effect with repeated cell division that creates an inevitable wall of... well, death?

Lost the lottery.

Very strange that this woman who cannot prove her age (but from her picture could very well be pushing 130 years old, although having a son who is 72 doesn't help the cause) and the other woman mentioned in article who has proper documentation, making her in fact the world's oldest person, are both from Georgia. This woman from the country of Georgia and the second woman from Georgia the US state. Ain't that just peachy!

And why no cause of death for this lady? I hope an autopsy is performed so the world will know what tragic disease she succombed to.

God limited the lifespan of humans to 120 years. This woman is definitely lying.

Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years."

No no no no no. And no. Her son, Mikhail is 72. Seventyfrickingtwo. Was she 60 when she beared? bored? borned him? I don't think so. She was somewhere between 92 and 112.

The best thing about the oldest person in the world is when they die, you just go out and get another one. Just like a dog. Just go out and pick up another old geezer. Don't worry about feeding it, it'll die soon enough on it's own. Then you go out and get another one. It's great!

Oldest person in the world and al qaeda #2 have a lot in common.

you're thinking of telomeres. Not directly relevant to aging, actually.

Hmm... are you sure?
I could have sworn there was damage caused by the shortening that would lead to bad news.

It is possible for women over 40 to bear children. It just becomes increasingly less likely until they hit menopause. 60 is a stretch, but plausible: Link

Not possible, because the telomere theory means she'd fall like Abe Vigoda playing the role of Al Qaida's #2...

...ah dammit, never mind.

the cell stops dividing as a result. replicative senesense. it might still live quite a while afterward though.

Possible but unlikely. I'll cede 117 is possible. But they didn't have the in vitro etc tech back then.
