Smackledorfer: Meet a woman I could spend my life with who feels the same about me.

I work towards this goal by going to work and home and nothing else. :/

Volunteer dammit.

Great way to meet folks who share your passions. Worst case scenario you help your community.

Find the woman of my dreams and marry her.

Get courtside seats at a Lakers regular season or playoff game at Staples Center.

Ride my bike from SF to LA, either with the AIDS Life Cycle ride or with the woman of my dreams at a more leisurely pace.

Oh yes, I forgot that. And see a Kings game from a luxury box ( csb- a few years back a friend had season kings seats, 8 rows back- it was so much fun ).
And the last one about the bike trip- I would love to do that, but i dont ride too much anymore since my friend passed and he wore one of the best helmets out there. I wont get into the gory details but it didnt help him. Stupid crappy roads

Someone mentioned this below: the Appalachian Trail. In addition to climbing the Adirondack 46, I'd like to hike at least part of the AT with my dad. That would be cool.

A friend and I snuck into and got kicked out of Scott McNealy's (former CEO of Sun Microsystems and a big Sharks fan) rinkside seats...twice...in the same game. Yeah, we were not very smart. My friend was a season ticket holder and swore that he only came to about a third of the games and always left after the second period.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I always wear a helmet, but it's just plastic and styrofoam, not magic. Still better than nothing, IMO.

Just knocked something off the list and resubbed to TF. Not sure why, except that PayPal kept saying I couldn't due to having reached my "unauthorized account spending limit" or some bs. Can't stand that kind of taunting.

Next on my list: Get buy-in from a particular musical act to cross-promote their music and my book series. I've been writing this series for twenty years in fits and starts, and I finally decided to organize it around their songs because... well... because nothing else seemed to work thematically. Been using this framework for the last year and I have about thirty novels in a dozen story arcs almost ready to go, just have to finish diagraming out all the plot twists, cross-story-arc relationships and other elements to check for internal consistency.

Been putting off getting in touch with the band though, they aren't my heroes or anything but they were my inspiration in getting the thing finished. I'm hoping they'll let me use the titles of their songs as titles to my books so that I can help promote them domestically. I think it would mean more for them marketing wise than a book dedication after the title page. Their fans should appreciate the subject matter.

1. Does a 3 day drunk count?
2. Watch some dog training shows. Notice they are owner training shows. Spend a full 3 days working intelligently with your dog.
3. Yeah, I had to move to Australia for that.
4. Verb choice is wrong. Bring it, have it returned. It don't just happen.

I've been on a 3 day bender, so unfortunately no, that's not what I'm talking about.
I've watched several shows/read numerous book, I'm about to invest in a private trainer (that shiats expensive!) to help. My dog is perfectly behaved if I have treats for her. If I don't, she's horrible.
I can't afford to move...
And finally, I know both partners need to being passion to the relationship... It always dissipates after a couple months, generally for both parties in my case.

My wish is pretty simple (I hope so at least, I'd like to believe I can achieve it one day).

I just want to be in a relationship with a girl who cares about me enough to put me first once in a while and make me feel special. I've never had that. Never had a girl make me feel loved.

If this happens to me I could then die happy. There are many other things I'd like to do or have, but really that's all else I need in life.

I had that. Once. Wish I never had now, because it's too painful losing it after finally finding it. The stories they tell little kids about love never include the possibility of finding your soulmate, being together, and then having them just suddenly turn their back.

/I lied, the most painful part is that we're still Facebook "friends" and I'm afraid to unfriend her

By the way, for everyone who mentions travel, I suggest working toward sales or for the technically inclined, sales engineering (kind of like the marines of technology). Pretty much pick your area of interest and if you have some decent personality skills (this does not mean being a cheerleader, just the geek w/ a quick wit) then you can find yourself racking up frequent flier miles to the point where you give them away as gifts.

And if you live in Indianapolis, Chicago or the San Francisco area (heck...really almost any decent metro area but this is where I am most often) and know anything at all about computers, telecom or call centers then I can get you started.

Had it more times than I can count. Many of which I still "love" in some ways, just not enough to tie my future to theirs. The good thing is, with the Internet, your little pool of potential soulmates is huge.

Just be the kind of person you *know* you should be (not the easy path, but the right path) and always keep your eyes open. They're out there everywhere. Nowadays, if I didn't already have the most wonderful woman in the world I know I could find someone else to be inspired by in moments.

I love this topic... non animal related stuff, I'd like to travel to Japan- I want to know what their sushi bars are like! I'd also like to start my own garden, learn to play the piano, and SCUBA in the ocean- even though I've probably logged more than a hundred hours diving, the only time it was in the ocean was for my dive certification. Oh! and I would LOVE to learn how to make my own cheese, but that one seems pretty ambitious because if I were to do it, I'd want to use milk from my own goats (which I don't own... ). I'd love to move out of Florida too... preferably to a big city for a while, but eventually ending up back in Charleston SC.

I have too many things to do in this short life!
