Monkeyfark Ridiculous: The TSASA will be staffed by people too stupid and obnoxious to work for the TSA, which may require a donkey-human breeding program to be implemented.

I think I saw video of a preliminary test of this program online somewhere. Looks like the trials took place in Mexico.

If they turn enough tsa terrorists into mist, I say give them a national holiday and bury them at Arlington.

Two thoughts..

One, if Obama announced that he is disbanding the TSA, executive order, admitting that it was a huge failure, plus orders an investigation into all of the crap the TSA has stolen.. He'd get reelected.

Two, if people would organize a "no fly day" and stick to it, letting the airlines know they won't be getting a huge percentage of flyers that day, it could make a difference. The only way the lobbyists will start getting upset is if their profits fall. The only way to do that is to stop flying or make a protest date that shows a huge percentage of people are serious about the issue.

Sad that neither of those will happen and people will continue to put up with the TSA, even though they have shown themselves to be inept and more than a handful are thieves, stealing from you as you walk through their lairs.

No, I don't fly.. why, you ask? I have a medical implant in my spine and refuse to be groped and forced to expose myself and explain my medical problems with the groper. Stories like this just reinforce my resolve not to fly until the TSA is gone.

I have one of those million-mile cards with one of the domestic airlines. In fact, I've actually traveled over 1.5 million miles with them.
I haven't traveled more than a couple of thousand miles with the buggers since the TSA started their nonsense.
Just back from a 1200 mile trip by car; it took a lot longer, and but was probably less safe, but it was such less hassle than the two-hour air trip.
In Europe, the security people are so much better at this kind of thing, and they don't intrude on my privacy. About time TSA took a few lessons.

That is actually a really great farking idea. It would get around the local and state "blue laws" about contact w/ customers and also constantly make an in-your-face political statement to the government. 10:1 three serious gentlemen named Tony, Max and Guido visit to talk to you about insurance. 50:1 a dozen serious guys in black suits constantly hang out there videotaping everyone who works there and comes to party.

But, seriously, it is still a great idea.

Fromageball: TSA agents are fairly low level positions...which means they probably have asshole managers micro-managing the hell out of them, making sure they follow procedure to a T. Maybe pay them more, provide better training, don't give the managers incentive to be micro-managing dicks, etc, and maybe you'll get a more effective TSA who are capable of using better judgment in the various situations they will encounter as TSA agents and not just acting as robots following a set of rules. Maybe.

But almost all government jobs consist of following and/or enforcing procedure to a T. That is why government exists, to create and enforce regulations. For the life of me I cannot find a valid reason for continuing the farce that is the TSA. But nobody will discuss it at an official level, Romney and Obama refuse to touch it. The Presidential candidate that vows to disband the TSA will win my allegiance for life.

The only reason I can think of for keeping this farcical agency is that it's a jobs program. It provides hundreds of thousands of jobs for otherwise unemployable societal outcasts. Imagine the jump in unemployment if the TSA were disbanded.

If I was planning attacks for Al Queda and really wanted to fark with Americans, I'd send guys into backed up security lines at busy airports with carry-on cases full of explosives and ball bearings. It would not only have a high body count, but it would also shatter the sense of safety provided by the security theater, and would leave us scrambling trying to figure out how to secure the security checkpoints. It would be so easy to make our security methods look like a joke if they really wanted to.

Then I'd sue the bastards for emotional rape and penis/ anus assault.

What I think is a little closer to the clinical definition of batsh*t nuts is to see broad and mind historical precedents for precisely the sort of business plan - they're not "conspiracies", they're business plans - we're sitting through in Merkuh and say with great conviction, "That could NEVER happen here, that's just *cuhrezzeh* talk." Think about it.

Amtrak is pretty cool, up until you need to go cross country or one of the hundreds of places that they don't go. Also, they're farking expensive.

/Took Amtrak from LA-Denver & back a few times when they had that service.

There should've been a way for that to go more smoothly without interfering with her medical care.

However, a sick who got sick, or a sick person that became terrorist or faked illness, are not more implausible than Ray Charles having been turned.

Haven't even read a single comment yet. Someone probably already said this, but here goes:

Every instance like this should result in immediate termination of the TSA employee. A memo should go out to every remaining employee explaining why their ranks have been reduced.
