nothing to see here. just last week, they said polls were skewed. now they're gospel. romney will say anything to get elected. anything.

That doesn't matter.

Romney doesn't rely on facts or even previous things he himself has said.

His campaign manager has told him "just get it all out there, true or not. Say whatever the hell you want."

He's moving to the center as fast as he can.

He'll be more liberal than FDR or Teddy by the end of the election cycle.

If he would govern that way, I wouldn't be so worried. But he will fire up the military industrial complex like crazy and make money even he hadn't been able to attain before.

In a press release today, the Romney campaign cites an article that ran in The Hill prominently citing the non-partisan think tank the Tax Policy Center to hit President Obama on how his policies have effected farmers.

Farmers are America's enemies! They're the salt of the Earth. It's a grand agricultural conspiracy! Let's observe a moment of silence to honor them. We will wrest America away from them before it's too late! God bless them all.

It must be really nice to have the freedom of speech that Romney possesses.

free to say anything regardless of ... well, anything, even your own statements.

missing the point.
they are biased and so when they report on something against the socialist policies it is even more significant.

Wait, what is there to attack of farm policy beyond "We're too heavy on corn, meat, dairy subsidies, and that doesn't align with healthy eating policy we're trying to pursue"

*ahem* That's not so hard to rationalize.

Even the polls skewed to oversample liberals are showing the 0bama's toast.

Even the ultra-liberal Tax Policy Center has to admit that 0bama's policies are bad for America's farmers.

You know 0bama's terribad when even the commie think tanks and polling outfits can't mask the stench any longer! This is bad news... for 0bama!

you are missing the point.

If a poll is skewed and it reports results that favor the skewed position, it is not news.

It is news when despite the skew, if reports results against the skewed position.

How this works...

"This organization if FOS but if you insist on using their info... This is what they say about something you like and it isn't flattering."

Similar to liberals who hold up figures from the CBO as if they are written on stone tablets carried down from a mountain... then dismiss the CBO out of hand when they say something liberals don't like and people like me say "either you believe these people or you don't"

Does anyone here on Fark still support Romney or the GOP apart from the trolls? Every time there's a political thread, there's the usual condemnation from the left and an exodus from the right: "I'm a Republican voting for Obama because the party is being run by the idiots".

Who are the real Romney supporters? Am I not seeing them because they can't understand how computers work?

There are no Romney supporters except Romney. No one could actually vote for him. He has no redeeming qualities. The people voting for him are simply voting against Obama.

I dunno.

In my area, the only ones with Romney/Ryan signs also have signs up for the Creationist teabagger that advocates disposing of nuclear waste at the bottom of the ocean and in people's home foundations and wants to remove the regulation from Wall St. since he says over-regulation caused the crash.

The few sane conservatives I know hate Romney. One of them said he almost broke his TV during the debate. The one insane one I know is writing in Ron Paul. Another slightly nuts but can be led to reason is voting for the Libertarian candidate.

It's Oregon, and I'm in the city, so the conservatives I am familiar with are not the same as the rural ones. And the state is going to Obama anyways.

Picking Vilsack as Ag Secretary instead of Michal Pollan might be my least favorite thing Obama did in the past 4 years. Its either that or NDAA. Both pretty short sighted and revealing of a deeper lack of commitment to his stated values.

There's like... basically no overlap between them except for a few points of social policy.
