This is what Obama should have been doing during the debate.

meh.

0bama said it is unpatriotic to pile up so much debt and burden our grandkids with the bill from the Bank of China.
Then he goes out and piles up more debt than anyone else in history.

0bama said that it was terrible that the government wouldn't suspend the Stafford Act - some racist allegation about not wanting to help New Orleans. This was after they suspended it and he was one of the few to vote against suspending it. Oh, and NO got more money than NY after 9/11.

Don't even get started on civil liberties and his signing NDAA.

But keep focusing on Big Bird citizen, nothing to see here.

I believe in the people of America, those millions of slackers who suck up government money and don't care for their lives. They make this nation great! If only they would take responsibility for themselves. Let's salute them! The miserable slackers.

It would have been much more effective if Obama had decided to remind people of Romney's flip floppiness himself at the debate. You know, while he was standing right next to the guy.

I don't think an ad is going to cut it.

Obama has never denied that his stance has changed. He even said it has changed.

R0mney either doesn't have a stance, or it changes all the time. You will never catch him admitting or acknowledging any change of opinion. How can you possibly trust a windsock like that [ unless you are a paid shill ]? Empty suit, completely. There is no there there inside that suit.

Which is more likely? That he's a centrist former governor from a left-wing state who pretended to be a right-wing loon to appease the Republican base? Or that he really is a right-wing nutjob who just pretended to be a centrist his entire career until the Republican primaries?

That's just sad.

Either option paints a picture of a man with no balls and no conviction who'll say and do anything, anything, to get elected.

Does it really matter which one is true? They're both indications that he has no business being President.

I wasn't actually talking about myself. I was talking about what I thought would be effective for the public.

And, do I think the public can only think about Romney's flip-flops when they are reminded of them at the moment he says them?

Hell yes, I do. The public, if you haven't noticed, is rather dim.

Or maybe he's just a total piece of shiat that will tell anyone anything in order to get elected.

Maybe he doesn't have any real beliefs or strong convictions. Maybe he just wants to be President because he's got nothing left to achieve.

Neither. He's a windsock. If he think being a centrist will get him a second term, that's what he'll do. If he fills his cabinet with Bush era people, which seems very likely, then we're going to war with Iran. And so on.

True, but Romney used it in the context that he raised a bunch of liars and had to keep calling 'em out on it. Apple does fall far from the tree would've been an appropriate response.

Unfortunately, conservatives will see this and not care. It's because the image of a flip floppy, wishy washy, no backbone coward only works when it is demonizing a pansy womanly liberal.

Strong paternal conservatives are immune from hypocrisy, due to the cognitive dissonance that their base holds. The attack won't stick. The subject isn't already primed to be painted as a two faced mealy mouthed liar.

Notice how Romney appealed to their sense of strength and saying anything, while Obama looked "weak" in the debates. (Weakness seen through the eyes of pack animals, by looking down and away)

The Right Wing Conservative mindset is immune from this sort of attack, they only respond to a paternal outlook of punishment/reward, alpha/beta males, and dominance.

Sad in general. That people are that dim. Do you think people need one of those big signs like they have in talk shows that read "APPLAUSE" to tell them to applaud at key moments now, only that would say "THINK"? Have we fallen that far?

Obomney: Investing in China's future in America today!

Romney owns stock in the following communist companies in China: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Holdings International, China Life Insurance, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, New Oriental Education and Technology, Tencent Holdings, Hang Lung Properties, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Youku, and Li & Fung Limited

Romney's Bain, that he founded and was sole CEO of according to his tax documents, outsourced American jobs to China

Romney has tax havens in Switzerland, Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong (China).

Romney wants to increase free trade with China. He also wants to reduce regulations on their imported goods.

Romney, the socialist of the GOP.

Glenn Beck on why Obomney is a socialist:

"Which is why is why I said when Mitt Romney was running for president I don't want anyone who even flirts with socialism...his defense for an obvious socialist act is: 'Well Mitt Romney, he's a Republican and he did it too.'

Did anybody else's mom, I remember mine probably in 1969 saying, you know, things like: 'If Mitt Romney would jump off a cliff, would you jump off too?' Which wouldn't have made any sense in 1969 because I wouldn't have known who Mitt Romney was, but you get the point.

It seems to me that you can't disprove your socialism with someone else's socialism. Can you?"

Recent ad seen in Virginia:

Muslims for Romney!

No more Christian Presidents!

Mitt Romney and his religions support multiple marriages
Just like our Muslim Teachings.

American Thinker on Obomney:

"Mitt Romney is nothing more than a strident liberal masquerading as a moderate. As Selwyn Duke rightly wrote in 2007, Romney is the Barack Obama of the GOP. Every Republican has made his share of mistakes, but Romney is a committed liberal on the whole spectrum of issues."

Freerepublic on Obomney:

"This is part 2 of an ongoing series exposing Mitt Romney's false claims of conservatism. There has been a lot of focus about RomneyCare and Mitt Romney's love for government mandates. Some are even calling Romney a RINO, but it's much worse than that: Mitt Romney is a liberal."

Rush Limbaugh on Obomney:

"The reason is simple: Romney is not a conservative. He's not, folks. You can argue with me all day long on that, but he isn't. "

2012-10-09 06:47:01 PM
A few months ago conservatives were bashing Mitt Romney with such vigor they made a Mongol invasion look genteel. To Deroy Murdock of National Review, "Willard Mitt Romney's latest flip flop" reminded him of Andy Warhol's quip: "That's not fake. It's real plastic." Compared to Romney, Murdock wrote, "I have seen mannequins in less empty suits." Mona Charen, another National Review regular, spoke on behalf of all right-thinking people when she said positions such as Romney's "make our hearts sink." Victor Davis Hanson, also of National Review, termed Romney the "castor oil candidate."

At TownHall.com - a clearinghouse of conservative opinion - Ben Shapiro compared Romney to Harold Hill, the "big city con man" of musical fame: "Romney has somehow suckered much of the conservative world into believing that he is a solid fiscal, social and foreign policy conservative" when, in reality, Romney is an "all out liberal." Romney is "about as strong a social conservative," he went on, "as RuPaul" - the country's most famous drag queen.

On the same site, you could read "The Conservative Case Against Mitt Romney," which argued that the Mittster "is a deeply flawed candidate. . . . [T]his IS NOT someone conservatives should want" as their nominee. "You can't fall in love with a weathervane," agreed John Hawkins of Right Wing News, who offered "7 Reasons Why Mitt Romney's Electability Is a Myth." "Romney is not a conservative," declared Rush Limbaugh. "He's not, folks."
