They know that Community probably won't be picking up any new viewers, and that fans will watch it no matter what night it's on. So I'm not too worried about this (at least not more than I am about the loss of Harmon).

the show was slated for the little-watched programming desert of Friday night.

What percentage of Americans watch non-live television only at the designated times (IE, without the use of DVR's or the Internet)?

Jesus, Subby, you're a paranoid little thing, aren't you?

Whitney and Community were set to premier on Friday nights. Now, it looks like NBC is holding the shows back for when they cancel the two shiat comedies they have on Wednesday nights, which shouldn't be too far off.

Here... Here's the story from the guys who keep track of ratings religiously... Animal Practice and Guys With Kids are bombing, and likely to be canceled soon, giving Whitney and Community spots on a better night.

End of story.

NBC: The "B" is for "Britta-ing."

I heard they have to do some last minute buttressing of Joel mchale's increasingly weird boobs.

The headline had me worried, but then I read the article, if they are going to wait and plug holes in the gaps formed by canceled shows, then this could be a good thing. Friday night is death night. Having seen 'Animal Practice' and 'Guys with Kids', I predict both of those shows will end before Thanksgiving. Especially 'Guys with Kids'.

Its nice. Having decided that I will not watch a Harmonless community I don't have any emotional investment anymore. NBC can sling this zombie corpse around all it wants.

So, is there a legal way to watch Community from the beginning other than buying the episodes on disk or through Amazon Instant Video?

The odd thing is that they already advertised the heck out of the fact that it was starting on the 19th and that it was going to be on Friday. Did they fire their planning department?

They're NBC. They gave Jay Leno an hour every weeknight in primetime, and rewarded him for his failure by giving him back late night. And by putting Leno in primetime and their other idiotic decisions, they sent their entire network from being competitive competitive to being beaten by Univision and cable networks on a regular basis.

Advertising shows and pulling them at the last minute isn't even in the top 10 NBC fark-ups from the past 4 years.

Hulu.

I was afraid of that. Just canceled Hulu Plus because they pulled Grimm Season 1. Well that and I'm tired of paying for a streaming service and still having to deal with commercials.  I would rather pay Amazon $2 per episode than deal with Hulu's commercials (especially since they've added more per episode).

Season 3 blooper reel.

I wish bloopers would be separated from 'acting out set' reels, though. Just irks me. I want fark-ups separate from clowning around.

I am going to sound like a total loser, but I don't care... what is the attraction with Community? I watched it before, but it just doesn't strike me as particularly funny.

It helps if one is a fan of 'uncomfortable' humor. Also weirdness for weirdness sake. Also a crying black man.

Also Britta and Annie.

It's basically live action family guy. Remember that tv show or movie? Since you're not watching it, let's reference it.

It has its redeeming moments. I laughed like a lunatic when Troy and Abed sang "Somewhere Out There", and the paintball episodes were pretty good, too.

I watch it mostly because I have free time every couple of weeks and I use it to catch up on a select few TV shows. Community, Modern Family, and The League. Just save it all up for a Saturday night with nothing to do and let my brain rot for a bit with some friends. Good times.

its not like he's being an a - hole about it. It could be a legit question and this is his(assuming) place to do it. And he did say he tried watching it.

My piece: If you watched the first 5 or so episodes and gave up, I don't blame you. If you want to get someone into the show, start with the first season's halloween episode.

It does have an obnoxious fan base, and a creator who could never seem to stop adding touching moments where they weren't earned or necessary - but it has at least 20 flat-out hilarious episodes.

From her dress it must be the episode where Annie was playing with Abed in the Dreamatorium. I'm not sure how I could know that with all the blood in my body having collected in my raging boner, but there it is.
