Checks cleared. Yesterday was a bank holiday.

Out of the eight links greenlit this morning that haven't yet hit the politics tab, we've got two Townhalls and two American Thinkers.

Wow. Talk about projection. This is wildly derptastic even by American Stinker standards.

Geez-Louies! He blew his hat off his head with that brainstorm!
'member, folks - heads is fer hats - not thoughts!

I'll click an American Thinker link when I get paid to do it.

2012-10-09 09:19:36 AM
Hey, remember how after 9/11/2001 and the midterm elections, how the Republicans were hoping for a "permanent majority"?

2012-10-09 09:23:29 AM
Mandatory reading. TFA completely ignores that the empirical evidence points to the GOP being the modern authoritarians. (Though yes, they exist on the political left as well.)

2012-10-09 09:31:28 AM
Two American Thinker articles in a row? Off to a good start!

Actually, Lenin said The more complete democracy is, the more unnecessary its. You may not agree with him and his other beliefs, but think about that statement.

Just go for the hat trick and green another one, you derp-infested morons.

American Thinker thinking is like Paris Hilton swearing off sex forever.

Because neither thing will ever happen... get it?!

It's 'tarded Tuesday.

If I'm running adblock, and never click on the link, does Stinker get money from me somehow for clicking on the FARK comments?

Serious question.

Because otherwise, why the fark are we linking to such shiattastic sources?

2012-10-09 09:36:08 AM
One party rule would be easy to avoid if the republicans weren't doing everything in their power to be the party of the lunatic fringe

2012-10-09 09:36:23 AM
Oh, also, in before some right-wing trolltard screeches "AD HOMINEM" because people are flippantly dismissing a hyper-partisan op-ed piece on a site with all the integrity of a Tijuana cab driver offering people rides to a donkey show.

/ I kid
// An American Thinker comparison isn't fair to Tijuana cab drivers or the people who participate in donkey shows

2 shiatstains in a row. Impressive

Marcus Aurelius: I'll click an American Thinker link when I get paid to do it.

Sometimes I click on them to see who the author is, and decide how exactly I'm going to make fun of him

2012-10-09 09:37:52 AM
Congratulations. We're talking about how shiatty the link is, not on the crappy partisan story.

Perhaps it's time to throw a troll into the mix?

2012-10-09 09:38:24 AM
Right wing facsists... Left wing stalinists... both tend to prefer one-party rule.

It's the sign of douchebaggery in the utmost. Pretending it's just 'one' side that does it is idiotic.

Though I have to wonder what this kind of trip is actually going on about given the Democrats are almost a right-of-center party at this point.

2012-10-09 09:39:48 AM
Who the fark submits this shiat?

2012-10-09 09:40:08 AM
That was actually a fairly decent article for American Thinker.

By which I mean it was a terrible article that no one should read, but it made me want to give the writer a condescending pat on the head rather than strangle him. That's a step up, I guess.

To be Fair and Balanced.

It also appears that Fark mobile's ads are all derped as well. They don't seem safe.

Beware of Othering, remember that your opponents are people not so different from yourself... what derptastic, horrifically right-wing arguments these are.

2012-10-09 09:42:05 AM
So the right wing's desire to limit the education of the populous, legislate their morals, instill a blind sense of nationalism, instill a sense of paranoia to foster the military industrial complex, limit the electoral process, dominate the media, and demonize any form of intellectual opposition from them is not a sign of authoritarianism?

Orwell would be proud of your doublethink.

2012-10-09 09:42:06 AM
Are Boner and McConnell in on the plot? They've worked pretty hard at ruining the GOP brand.

2012-10-09 09:42:34 AM
I have to laugh at the way the denizens of Rightwingistan use words like "leftist". Same with "Marxist" and "Socialist". To the people writing this drivel, they're dog whistle words that attract the fear ridden clods in the Republican base who have no real working knowledge of what those words actually mean OR how they apply to the present day agenda of the Democratic party, but boy, Bubba, them sure are SCARRRY WORDS!

The only goal of these people is to create separation by demonizing the opposing political party as an entity who's only set goal is to destroy America. A cottage industry has sprung up behind this objective in the form of blogs, books and other merchandise designed to separate foolish people from their money and to advance a political agenda. I have a couple of friends who are deep into the conspiracy blogs, like Alex Jones and twits like him. They believe every word of it. I attempted to point out what bullshiat it was, and the response I got back was "But what if he's right??"

I hate what passes as political discourse these days. It's about dividing us as a country and making money. The worst part is that simps in the Republican base lap it up.

2012-10-09 09:42:38 AM
I don't want one-party rule.I would love a rational conservative party that didn't bleat all day about birth certificates and abortion. Alas, we have the GOP, which is neither Christian nor Conservative.

2012-10-09 09:42:38 AM
Yeah, not gonna read it.

Put up something more credible. Like something from Fox News or the National Inquirer.

There are trolls already shiatting up the other threads. I'm sure they'll be here shortly.

You left off the derptastic part. You can't just leave out the derp and then tell us it wasn't there.

FTFA: But we may have accepted a mythology of "Them," the tyrants and their peoples, according to which Their otherness is so complete that it seems inconceivable that we could become Them without realizing it.

Wow, just wow! Look in the mirror TeaTard.

2012-10-09 09:46:26 AM
Because Daren Jonescu is focused on the state's oppression, it is easy to lose sight of the quotidian aspects of the society he depicts: people traveling to and from offices, doing bureaucratic work without thinking much about its ramifications; listening to the day's corporation-regulated news without thinking much about its truth value; participating in corporation-approved activism without questioning its purposes; and living in compliance with the bosses' omnipresent regulations without wondering why all those rules are necessary, and what life might be like without them.

2012-10-09 09:46:47 AM
So, if American thinker says it, you leftist goons won't even think about....

/no, screw it. I can't even troll American Thinker links.

I know I already replied to this little fantasy, but here's one of the parts that shows how wrong you are:

Leftism's defining trait is the micro-regulation of the individual's life, such that each citizen develops an instinct for prejudging his own potential actions or thoughts against an internalized version of the state's never-ending, ever-changing rulebook. Finally, he gives up thinking or choosing at all, and simply lets the government decide what is best for him, and how best to utilize his efforts.

Yeah, "leftists" like Obama aren't so different from you, it's just that they're out to destroy everything you hold dear. That definitely potatoes.

RexTalionis: Hey, remember how after 9/11/2001 and the midterm elections, how the Republicans were hoping for a "permanent majority"?

In my state, the GOP holds 28 of the 35 seats in the state senate and 57 of the 70 in the house. That wasn't enough for them, so they've redistricted the state, splitting the "blue dots" to strengthen their majority. Piggy, piggy. As it is, the often take care of state business in the party caucuses, since they don't really need to pay attention to the DEMs.

THREAD OVER.

The real dichotomy is reluctant leaders who govern with a mind to protecting and enhancing the freedom of their fellow citizens vs. men eager to rule over others with a mind to molding them into better servants of the ruler's own aspirations and interests.

Washington and Lincoln were the first type of leader. Which type is Barack Obama?

Goddamn these people are whores. The only way someone could write something so intelligent and so dishonest is if money is changing hands. There can't possibly be any other way.  There's no way this guy actually believes this.

But conservatives told me that allowing states to choose their own welfare policies was a terrible idea...

Remember one thing..

The first three letters in "Liberal" are L I B, also the first three letters in the word "Liberty".

The first three letters in "Conservative" are C O N, also the first three letters in the word "Control".

Hmm....

Wow. Way to support the theory of the article. We get it. Liberals hate information or views they don't agree with. They would rather silence opponents than actually debate them. Online this leads to echo chambers. Too bad fark isnt quite at that doubt for you yet. The 90-10 split is apparently too much for your fragile world to handle. Oh noes. Not countering views. The horror. The horror.
