You will all be receiving strongly worded letters from this ineffectual, weak, and incompetent yet all-powerful, diabolically genius cabal called the UN.

This has happened because the UN overwhelmed our weak, incompetent, empty-suit president 0bama when he colluded in secret with our enemies in a brilliant plan to surrender American sovereignty and rule us like the brutal dictator he truly is.

Wake up, sheeple!

Booga Booga!!! F.U.D. from FOX.

While we're speculating, I've heard that Romney's new world order of no regulations will allow corporations to round up the poor and sell their body parts to the highest bidder. The Market will set the price as the difficulty of hunting the poor (supply) clashes with the worldwide need (demand) for organs, bones, skin, etc.

See, in Romney's world, even the poor will have jobs and help create wealth for the job creators!

(Of course, we do not believe that actual black UN helicopters will land in our midst to take over our country. But we use the symbolism to warn that the liberal, bureaucratic elites in the UN, enabled by Obama and Hillary, mean to create global governance to override American self-rule and independence).

Eh. Consider me cynical. I doubt he's trying to engineer a UN takeover of the USA.

More likely, like most socialist-leaning leaders, he will attempt to create a mandatory welfare state for the purpose of collaborating with his internationalist comrades.

So we've figured out that Dick Morris is full of conspiratorial shiat on the level of WHARBARHBL. That's a good start, but he's also full of shiat on the level of "I don't know how the fark the United States government works." Here's why:

FTFA: And, since they would be enumerated in a Treaty - not an act of Congress -- only the president and the Democratic Senate need be on board.

Except...a treaty requires a two-thirds (2/3) supermajority of the Senate to approve it. And since the Senate is currently only barely more than half Democrat, the supermajority won't be met.

Courtesy Wikipedia: "A treaty may be ratified by a two-thirds supermajority of the Senate; this last happened in 2010 when the Senate voted 71-26 to ratify the New START Treaty with Russia." (Article: "Supermajority")

So a turncoat "Democrat" who "served" under "Bill Clinton" is lying his ass off to make nice with his Republican overlords. Color me surprised.

The helicopters are harder to spot now because the have a stealth mode, and the Google Maps was actually commissioned by "them". And the relocation/reeducation camps are there, but not seen because they are a top secret underground facility.

Woah! I'd forgotten about the street signs and loons like Joseph Farah.

Has anyone posted yet about the relocation/reeducation camps in the southwest? A friend of my sister's secretary has an uncle who heard about it from a guy at the gas station, who found out from a delivery driver who saw it in New Mexico.

My all time favorite was the couple at a gun show trying to convince me the UN secret invasion map was printed on the back of a Kix cereal box, disguised as a kid's game. Yeah, really.

Last time I went to a gun show; I ran into "the committee to elect RON PAUL". They (3 guys) had several taxidermied animals around their table; one of which was a squirrel. I had to walk away before I made a joke about 3 nuts and a squirrel.

Dude, did the squirrel have an enormous pair of 'nads?

That's the important question.

/I heard the camps have been moved to Arkansas

Now that I think about it; yeah it did; the poor squirrel probably had nut cancer.

/ obviously the relocation camps are run by FEMA and they are in Louisiana

In one regard, it's fun, and quite justifiable, to disparage the U.N. This could be done in a strongly worded letter. It's an almost completely useless bureaucracy, even if it does have six organs. 2012-10-09 12:23:41 PM
FTFA:

A "Robin Hood" tax on financial transactions. Every time you buy or sell a stock or a bond or exchange money while travelling, you'd be hit with a financial transactions tax (a percentage of your transaction) that would go to the UN. - Being talked about in the EU to stop risky, dangerous and economy disabling casino banking practices. Haven't heard of the UN leading this

A global tobacco tax with the funds to flow to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Stupid tobacco killing people

A UN-imposed tax on billionaires all over the world. And don't delude yourself for a moment that it is only the 1600 current billionaires who will be hit. Once the precedent of a UN tax on US citizens is approved, it will gradually grow downwards to cover more and more Americans. Again the funds will go to the UN. Pfft who cares about Billionaires

Under the Law of the Sea Treaty - up for Senate ratification in December of the lame duck session - offshore oil and gas wells would have to pay a proportion of their revenues to the International Seabed Authority, a UN-sponsored organization, which would distribute the loot to the third world. ISA isn't the UN but whatever. They look after the see bed while Exxon, Shell, BP et al rape the fark out of it. Making the oil and companies pay for this work seems fair.

A carbon tax on all U.S. or other foreign commercial or passenger aircraft flying to Europe. Nominally to fight climate change, these revenues would also go to the third world.
Just Europe? The UN is limiting its scope these days or maybe this is another EU driven initiative.

A mandatory assessment to be imposed on the U.S. to compensate third world nations for the costs of reducing their carbon output.
What is this I don't even, under Kyoto and other treaties developing countries weren't going to reduce emissions

These taxes are, of course, only the first steps. Once the principle is established of UN taxation of American citizens, the sky is the limit.
Of course it is.

My favourite part

And where would the money go? To so-called less developed countries. The taxes are part of a global plan of redistribution of wealth from the Northern Hemisphere (US, Europe, Japan) to the Southern Hemisphere (Latin America, Africa, and South Asia). Get a map moran! Most of Africa and almost all of South Asia is in the Northern Hemisphere

I had to Google that, and I was flabbergasted to see that that was a real thing. Apparently, it sprang from the mind of one John Trochmann, a leader of the "Militia of Montana" group. It seems the map in the game supposedly outlined the ten regional US control zones that would be used in the invasion. That. Is. Freaking. Wild.

tommydee: Meanwhile, that one guy who watches MSNBC told me that Romney heats his mansion with illegal immigrants.

Yeah, bring that up.

Link

During last night's Republican presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nev., former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney admitted that a lawn company he had used hired illegal immigrants and that when he found out he told the company it could not have illegal aliens working on his property because he was running for office.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry brought the issue up during the debate. "You stood here in front of the American people and did not tell the truth that you had illegals working on your property," Perry said, "and the newspaper came to you and brought it to your attention, and you still, a year later, had those individuals working for you.

"The idea that you can sit here and talk about any of us having an immigration issue is beyond me," said Perry. "I've got a strong policy, I've always been against amnesty. You, on the other hand, were for amnesty."

Romney responded: "Okay. You wrote an op-ed in the newspaper saying you were open to amnesty. That's number one. Number two, we hired a lawn company to mow our lawn, and they had illegal immigrants that were working there. And when that was pointed out to us we let them go. And we went to them and said--"

"A year later?" Perry interrupted.

"You have a problem with allowing someone to finish speaking," said Romney. "And I'd suggest that if you want to become president of the United States, you have got to let both people speak. So first, let me speak.

"So we went to the company," Romney continued, "and we said: Look, you can't have any illegals working on our property. I'm running for office, for Pete's sake, I can't have illegals. It turns out that once again they hired someone who had falsified their documents, had documents, and therefore we fired them."

No, don't delude yourself. Let me do it for you. 1600 billionaires looking for a place to hide. Makes 'em easier to kill and eat.

runwiz: Not surprisingly, the book is published by Harper Collins, a subsidiary of NewsCorp, parent of Fox News. Isn't this interesting how this all works.

Par for the course for Paux News.

Morris is a loony with an agenda of his very own.

But lets not let the truth get in the way of a good work of fiction.

Snort.

The statement was hyperbolic, certainly, but do you really consider the worst thing that can be legitimately said about this article is that we "don't agree with it?"

Seriously?

You mean since it was an opinion piece?

That has got to be one of the most reckless things I've ever seen out of any new agency, even Fox. That's just... utterly incredible.

It goes far beyond simple disagreement. Unless you agree with outright lies.

OldManDownDRoad: rufus-t-firefly: Rapmaster2000: OldManDownDRoad: Ah, I was wondering when those would return. Way back in the days of Clinton, the black helicopter crowd was my intro to the nuttiness of the species nuttus internetus, otherwise known as the 'net loon.

It's good to see them back!

I too, miss the black helicopters. I also enjoyed that the markings on the back of street signs are to tell the UN tanks where to go.

The 90s are back!

That was my favorite.

I envisioned columns of tanks stopping every few miles so someone could get out and check the back of a highway sign.

"Shiat! I guess we should have turned left."

Just wondering, but couldn't they get to where they're going by reading the information on....gee, I don't know....Maybe the FRONT of street signs?

"In second term, Obama will allow UN to tax Americans"

That's not a statement of opinion.

Do you also think professional wrestling is real? Did anyone on the planet (besides maybe you) fail to notice that Morris' screed was in the OPINION section? You should, like, read more and stuff.

howdoibegin: CornerPocket: In one regard, it's fun, and quite justifiable, to disparage the U.N. This could be done in a strongly worded letter. It's an almost completely useless bureaucracy, even if it does have six organs. (The jokes write themselves, folks) On the other hand, it's collecting approx. $7.7 billion this year from the U.S., so it really ain't that funny.  You could actually fix some bridges and etc. with that kind of money.

Apparently they don't write themselves, as you apparently had to have others write them for you.

Well, I think that any organization that apparently considers itself to apparently have six organs is apparently funny. Apparently you don't, but that's OK. Apparently, anyway.

Perhaps if you let me Google that for you, you'd understand why making delusional untrue factual statements isn't excused just because it's done in an option piece.

Now, if we were talking about satire, as in "isn't it hilarious to think someone could be as paranoid as I'm pretending to be," then at least we'd be on the same page.

We'd be on the same page, maybe, if you had some education. And since you're lacking that (or maybe have the wrong number of chromosomes), then here is a clue: when communicating OPINION, it's considered a waste of words to always be adding things like 'as far as I'm concerned' or 'for all I know', etc. Are you really as clueless as you seem, or just trying to be difficult?

Jesus H Ross Christ, man: do you see ANYONE on the editorial/opinion pages bending over backwards so you mouth-breathers don't get the wrong idea? No, you don't, and that's because most people know what they're reading.

At any rate, I wish I could say that someone broke into my account to waste time with you. 'Hickory' smoked indeed.

I guess being phenomenally stupid goes hand-in-hand with being gullible.

Just like how Obama is both a muslim and a puppet of a crazy christian preacher at the same time!!!

/Republican propaganda reads like the worst science fiction. It would be truly laughable if is wasn't for the fact that all the 'Joe Sixpacks' out there just lap it up.

They are just being fair and balanced, presenting both sides. They understand only one can be true and Fox respects its audience enough to let them choose. You don't get those options anywhere else.

We are occupying the wrong part of the world to get our money.
We need to go to war and occupy about 10 offshore island states.
