"Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns," the group said in a statement. "We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down."

DROxINxTHExWIND: Lupine Chemist: Lando Lincoln: Lupine Chemist: WTF ARE YOU GUYS DOING! YOU CAN PLAY ADS SHOWING ROMNEY TALKING OUT OF BOTH SIDE OF HIS MOUTH CONSTANTLY AND YOU'RE HARPING ON THE AWFUL DEBATE AND THE STUPIDEST GODDAMNED POINT OF THE WHOLE THING!!!

You DO realize that Obama can put out more than one ad at a time, right?

The point is they're not controlling the conversation. They have people talking about the shiatty debate and a stupid point from it that really comes across as whining. At this point in the game you should have one or two killer weaknesses identified in your opposition and be doing everything you can to just hammer at it. Think John Kerry flip flopper or Sarah Palin is dumb and dangerous type things. Like it or not, Romney is controlling the narrative because Obama is deciding to phone it in while people are currently able to vote early.

*Sigh*

I'm so tired of the microwave generation. Everything happens instantly. Everything always changes forever at the drop of a dime...until it changes back, and you all react to it violently. About a week ago, Obama was going to be King of Earth for the foreseeable future and his dismantling of Romney at the debate was going to be a fun day for Democrats. One percieved loss of a debate and everythings suddenly gone to shiat. How did Obama go from the cold, calculating mercinary whose campaign was run like a machine to a bumbling oaf who isn't controlling the message? Settle the fark down.

Look, I'm not rabid about it. I'm pretty sure he can turn it around, but it's ads like the one referenced here that aren't helping. The people you need to convince don't respond well to snark, it comes off as being something as part of being in the group and excludes people you need to convince. It's not the debate it's the campaigns reaction to it that I question. Obama himself was pretty decent when going after Romney last Friday. I suspect last time it worked so well because Obama could place his full attention to how his campaign would respond to national events, the advantage Romney has right now. As it is, Axelrod has to be pretty much in charge because there are things like Turkey now actively attacking Syria with NATO talk involved and other actual presidenting that has to be done concurrently. I'm just saying that Obama's numbers are not trending well, how much of that is just a simple bounce and how much is a real shift has yet to be determined. But the campaign's reaction is not sharp and crisp and focused like it should be.

I'm very much so not a liberal and generally dislike the Democratic party and would generally put myself solidly in the camp waiting for a legitimate conservative party to be not insane or legitimate multiparty voting. Not claiming to be representative of anything, just saying I'm not a partisan.

So what is this GOP talking point about paying to use Big Bird in a campaign ad again?

What is with the Republicans and Libya? We got rid of a murderous dictactor in a Middle Eastern country! I thought that was their thing. Can they just not stand it that Obama's policies in the Middle East have succeeded so much better than Bush's?

Yes 0bama nailed another lie

Still going with the Obama lie about 5 trillion, huh? The tax policy centw r already walked back their initial estimate by more than half due to American enterprise institute pointing out one of numerous flaws. So even if you believe tpc is the only economic analysts out there, you and Obama are repeating a stance they already backed off from. Other policy groups have already shown how Romney and his plan work multiple times. The tpc report was full of failed assumptions Romney never made. But keep being an Obama mouthpiece for lies, it is what fark expects from you.

CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS OF FINANCIAL POSITION

Program expenses:

Content distribution 41,398,000

Total program expenses 115,627,000

Support expenses:

Merchandising takes in a lot of revenue but it still doesn't completely pay for CTW production budget.

Probably not. The clips used would (barely) fall under fair use. If they used a complete segment or skit, or if the segment they used made up a larger portion of the ad, that would be different, but most likely trumped by our leniency towards political speech anyway.

wait, Romney is pro-Bernie Madoff?

Unlike Jon Corzine, who became a prominent spokesperson for Obama's agenda once Barack Obama became the presumptive nominee, I don't remember Madoff or Ken Lay campaigning for Romney.

Corzine was subpoenaed to appear before a House committee on December 8, 2011, to answer questions regarding missing money from MF Global client accounts. In March 2012, Bloomberg reported that a memo produced by congressional investigators quotes an internal company e-mail as saying Corzine gave "direct instructions" to use customer money to cover the company's own shortfalls prior to bankruptcy.
