(Courier Mail)   After a beer truck spills its load on the street, people in the area help the driver collect his fallen goods. Just kidding. They run off with the beer in the name of souveniring. "The beer was off the street in about a minute"   (couriermail.com.au) divider line 54

Bruxellensis: pute kisses like a man: GranoblasticMan: pute kisses like a man: on a final note, ever tried the budweiser beer that tries to be beer? I forgot what they were calling it and I haven't seen it in stores in a while. but, I had one once, and thought... well, it's not poison... though, it won't be joining my list of beers that I choose.

It's been a while since I've tried it, but I thought Budweiser (as opposed to the ubiquitous Bud Light) still has some semblance of flavor to it.

when the european company bought budweiser (or their parent company), they released a bud that only came in bottles, and i think it was called american lager or something. the marketed it as a boutique beer, charged $7 a six-pack. it was much better than regular bud, but I haven't seen it in a while. it wasn't better than other beers you could get for $7 a six-pack, so maybe that's why it disappeared.

Was is the American Ale?

yeah. that's the one. not sure why i remembered it as a lager. oh well, I only tried it back when it first came out. it was not memorable, so that's probably why it slipped my mind.

Had the exact same experience. Nothing to write home about.
