MagSeven: Owangotang: MagSeven: I disagree. Pay attention to the man in white who also claiming to have kidney punched Punk. Should Punk have put himself in that situation? Probably not. But he has been in the crowd before without much incident. This was a fluke for him.Understood, and you make a well stated point. I have to counter, however, by stating again that Punk set the tone in the stands. He slapped a fan's hand away and shoved another fan well before the part that you mention. Punk is also shoved in the back hard by someone to his right well before Punk smacked the sunglasses guy, and Punk only reacted by staring towards the pusher. Right or wrong it set a tone of back and forth between Punk and the fans that escalated out of control. Also, since it appears to have been misunderstood, I genuinely don't care what does or doesn't happen to Punk or WWE over this. I do think the guy who was smacked around deserves some sort of make good but it's not a federal case or anything. I just enjoy watching these sorts of things evolve from the time an incident happens through the aftermath. Twitter has made real time voyeurism of developing stories completely fascinating.Yeah, I can see how Punk's attitude stoked the fire, but fans (particularly grown ass men) should know better. There's a difference between "patting" a wrestler and slapping and punching. Smacked guy deserves at least a formal apology. Hopefully they can avoid making it litigious and shower this man with tickets, freebees and whatever he wants. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. That being said. The next wrestler who has to hit somebody better make damn sure he'shiatting the right somebody./I wonder if Whitesleeves guy can get charged with anything if this becomes a case? Assault? Attempting to incite a riot? Disorderly conduct?

FirstNationalBastard: CMVenom: As the original tag team partner of CM Punk, I'm really getting a kick out of these replies.Do you also have to be at the arena in 26 minutes?
CMVenom: Ha! Not any more, happily retired from in-ring work, last bumped in 2004.
Farbeez: I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but where the hell was security? They pretty much know everything going on and it was only until after the incident that they arrived.CM Punk... I think he's done. He's a complete mark for himself... It seems like he takes this more as a fan than as a business....Bleh!
Farbeez: I don't believe that he's done because he smacked a fan... I think he's done because they've given him the ball to run with several times and he's just never reached the level they want him to. The only thing he's done that's impressed me was his "shoot" promo... After that he was burried by Triple H and Nash and never recovered.I don't know of someone mentioned it on here or another site, but they picked up Punk because he had mild buzz around him and they never knew what to do with him.How do you succeed when you look at the wrestling business as a fan, and not a business.Punk is a mark for himself... He's a glorified, over exposed version of Raven.Plus no one will get anywhere until Cena is gone...Hogan had to jump to WCW before WWE moved on, and that even took 6 years.
