I turned it on for a bit, heard "all we need to do is spend trillions of dollars the Pentagon didn't ask for, to enforce 40-50 year old doctrine with overpriced and already-obsolete "new" equipment, to fight the last war we had all over again, but this time against two countries against which we stand zero real chance of a major conventional war because we're economically interdependent with them in the extreme", and promptly ignored it.

Also, "Putin's shadow". He's now taking oratorical advice from Sarah Palin, I see.

GAT_00: fusillade762: Finally, Romney proclaimed, "The 21st century can and must be an American century." This is where he and his advisers, many of them Bush-Cheney neo-cons, share a dangerous assumption about the world.

That part alone should scare the shiat out of anybody who's paying attention.

Those same people have been in every Republican administration since Nixon. These guys just aren't two terms wrong, they're 7 terms wrong.

We can use this opportunity to convert to a new form of energy. Find the tombs of Eisenhower, Teddy Roosevelt, and Lincoln, attach generators. Those three guys are probably spinning so fast that we could power several major cities for free. Gerald Ford might be possible, but I'm afraid the drive belt would keep slipping off.

You're talking about Obama, right?

Explain yourself.

Well, the quick explaination is he can't be talking about Romney and after that piss poor performance by Obama and team lying about Libya... well, you do the math.

You really want to do a comparison of Obama versus Romney stretching the truth? Really? You're gonna lose that one out of the gate.

Just because the Obama friendly media says Romney lied does not make it true. Obama for nearly 2 weeks claiming some video is what caused the death of the Ambassador, now that was quite the lie.

Tu quoque. Please try again.

But it was astonishing to watch Romney spin a daydream of himself as some latter-day George Marshall, bringing peace, prosperity, and hope to a chaotic world

After all, Obama and other liberals did that in 2008, how dare Romney say he can do better after Obama failed to do it?

After that it's just a full launch in to the same sort of tired spin to cover Obama's rear end that we've seen since late 2007.

Semi-Sane: I would like someone to point out a single lie that Romney has told. Sure, he has slightly exaggerated certain facts during speeches but that does not mean that he lied. Just because what Romney has said might not be fully true now does not mean that it will not be true at a future point. I would hardly say that Romney's speeches are filled with any more lies than any other politician.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie#Lying_by_omission

He's got it down to an art.
Gas prices doubled under Obama! Obama cut $716 billion from Medicare! Obama is cutting defense spending!

All lies by omission, tailored to mislead the electorate. It's sickening.

RyogaM: It's not worth moving heaven and earth and spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person.

All I need to know about Romney is that he would have continued that failed Neo-con policies that allowed Osama and top level A.Q. leaders to escape from justice.

WASHINGTON, July 7 - A secret military operation in early 2005 to capture senior members of Al Qaeda in Pakistan's tribal areas was aborted at the last minute after top Bush administration officials decided it was too risky and could jeopardize relations with Pakistan, according to intelligence and military officials.

The target was a meeting of Qaeda leaders that intelligence officials thought included Ayman al-Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's top deputy and the man believed to run the terrorist group's operations.

But the mission was called off after Donald H. Rumsfeld, then the defense secretary, rejected an 11th-hour appeal by Porter J. Goss, then the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, officials said. Members of a Navy Seals unit in parachute gear had already boarded C-130 cargo planes in Afghanistan when the mission was canceled, said a former senior intelligence official involved in the planning.

No balls on the neo-cons to make the hard choices in the war on terror. They always want the easy way out.

More likely they don't want to stop the flow of profits.

Is your name Brick-House modeled after Brick Tamland from Anchorman? Because you seem to be just as retarded.

There is a difference between a statement from the White House about a single incident turning out to be wrong and a man getting on stage in front of tens of millions of people and telling lie after lie after lie, as Romney did.

Can't win on the merits of your arguement, then call your opponent a lier, even when you're shown to be a lier... yeah, good luck with that one.

Wow. Your "time from me noticing you to setting your color to Grey 4 with the label 'conservatroll'" is an impressively short span. Even more so when you've been around for years rather than weeks. Kudos.

This article is just another smear job lobbed against Romney by the liberal media. After four years of President Obama's failed economic leadership, Romney would bring to the White House a specific, detailed plan for returning to fiscal responsibility, job creation, a strong military, and tax cuts for the middle class. I understand that many people have tied their hopes to Obama and I would urge you not to go down with the sinking ship. Obama has failed and the time to accept his failure is NOW!

The INeffective way is to say, "Well, your guy did the same thing, but worse!! Poopies!!"
