This is the Cardinals' baseball I like to see.

Take an early lead, get and stay aggressive.

I'm still not sure entirely how I feel about the 2-3 series setup for the DS round, but one thing I do like is that if the current scenario holds, the series goes to Washington for a 3 game series, whoever wins the series moves on. It's a much more typically baseball scenario than a 2-2-1 setup.

HR Nats, 7-2 St. Louis, top 5th.

If we could stop with all these crazy deep fly balls that'd be awesome. Nice grab Jay, especially the "Look what I got" after you landed.

2012-10-08 06:55:09 PM
If you're gonna insist on catching up solely through solo HRs, Nats, you've got to make sure the ball leaves the field, lol.

Holliday Mariah Carey'd that throw. He was just baiting Harper.

2012-10-08 07:16:34 PM
Second and third with nobody out - serious rally material - turns into a one-run-fizzle - I love it.

2012-10-08 07:16:43 PM
Does Holliday get an assist for that? I mean, technically he helped get an out, but it'd be the first assist on an error I can think of.

Carlos Beltran is the best postseason player in baseball, game 7 or no game 7.

Remember when Beltran was a Met until the Madoff thing went down and NY said he was over the hill and done. Just cause our season is over doesn't mean the pain stops.

/Still not has painful has being a Pirates fan.
//Or a cub fan.
