But you're inside the UK. We're expected to get that. While American kids are learning about Moon Landings and Presidential assassinations we're taught about the time Freddie Starr was alleged to have eaten a hamster.

Karin Ward, a former pupil of a special needs school...

"It frightened me and freaked me out. I rebuffed him and he humiliated me in front of everyone in the dressing room by saying something really unkind about my lack of breasts which, to a 14-year-old girl, was just awful"

Her prose is better than most teen fiction out there. I wonder if this was a prepared statement.

guilty or innocent that's some ugly thing to be accused of. i'd never want to be associated with Gary Glitter.

Agreed, beaver would have been better. Still a good headline.

Well, honestly his response sounds a bit more defensible than most -- he at least sounds like he is actually wrongfully accused, especially if it is true he never actually hung out with those two, and he has the right amount of outrage for being falsely accused.

Of course a smart guy with theatrical background could probably put on the right act, but in his case I think I wouldn't be so quick to believe the accusation.

If Gary Glitter is such a well known pedo in the UK, why isn't he in jail, under surveillance or found beaten to death?

Yes, but that's of comparable significance in your culture, isn't it?

As someone who was forced to watch him live twice (mom used to love him) believe me when I say he is nowhere near good enough to be that convincing on purpose. With the witch hunt going on in this country right now and so many women "suddenly" appearing with claims, he and a few others are going to get accused without any proof and the papers with their print now find out if its true later attitude are just going to continue to act like sharks in a feeding frenzy.

Freddie Mercury ate my cock

Here's why I don't buy this story:

1) "Conspiracy of Evil" stories are nearly always weapons-grade bullshiat. Gary Glitter and Jimmy Saville partied together? So, why isn't there a single paparazzi/amateur shot of them together back in the 70s on Google images? This isn't like Frank and Deano, where we know they partied hard together. No-one has a single shot of that.
2) The last celeb story about Freddie Starr is that he was nailing another guy's (30 year old) wife. Based on documentaries, that's what I'd assume his character is - leave him with your wife, he'll try it on with her. He probably shagged a lot of women when he was young and successful.

Saville was definitely that way inclined. No doubt about it. There's even some TV evidence out there.
