(The New York Times)   Enough time has passed to get all the new polling data collected since Romney's masterful debate performance and the bounce has been... well, um... hey, look, a pony with a rainbow mane   (fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com) divider line 259

Impossible.

The conservatives told me that the debate ended the race and Fartbongo might as well resign now.

I really don't understand how Obama could have failed that debate. With Romney-bot, it should have been a gimmie. I'll never underestimate Romney-bot's newly updated and superior 'Pazazz 3.0' algorithms again.

The parallels to '04 keep racking up. Bush had a wider national lead, but Obama's swing state operations are incredibly effective.

Romney used the same debate technique as creationists do. So, even if Obama won, he still loses.

Anything's better than the usual pre-election chicken farking based on shoddy, inconsequential polling info that may or may not be biased.

Speaking of chickens...

As notable leftist socialist Newt Gingrich said in the primary, Romney is willing to say anything to get elected. You can't really debate someone who is going to say the opposite of what he's said on the campaign trail and even if you call him out on it will just deny he is contradicting himself.

I saw the Boobies-Obama debate ad, and they pretty much went with the obvious. To sum it up: "If you can't trust Romney during a debate, how can you trust him in the Oval Office?"

I know you're a worthless troll but electoral-vote.com publishes similar numbers to Nate Silver's and they have a map for those that want to see aggregate polls without (R)asmussen.

About that. Even bastion of polling fairness and friend of Conservatives unskewedpolls.com says Rasmussen is skewed toward Democrats. Of course, this was before Romney's bounce, so I'm going to guess it's all good now?

Conservatives really need to get their act together. See: "Wolf, The Boy Who Cried."

I had a feeling that the first debate went the way it did just so the Obama campaign could gather more fodder for the "Romney can't get dressed in the morning without lying at least five times" political ads.

He's had a very good bounce. It's time to stop pretending this didn't matter. It mattered a lot. He's gained about 3 points. Not enough to win, but definitely enough to put him in a position to win in the final month.

Pretty simple, really. Just call him a big fat liar. Obama's response to anything Romney says should be "YOU ARE A LIAR."
Easy enough.

The debate was a complete game changer. Romney was the one playing a long game of rope a dope (not Obama)....Romney hit hard, and he hit fast. Obama is busy partying with Katy Perry while Romney is getting ready to slam the door shut on another four years of Bongo banging. Where is the hope, where is the change.....Fartbongo is an empty suit, a teleprompter creation of the left wing liberal communists. Romney is a real leader, a life long success story that is still writing chapters in a how to succeed manual.

I don't know whether calling me Peewee Herman using an "I know you are or what am I" was a stroke of subtle cleverness on your part or embarrassing lack of research.

he pulled even with obama on the most recent gallup post debate article, 47 to 47, I mean, thats a hell of a bounce. not saying Romney locked it up or anything but you stay that close and you are at a point where something like, say, a few hundred million to adelson to your superpac of choice can nudge you ahead in the endgame

Some of us have kids. Even daughters. And the show is written at multiple levels--like the Simpsons used to be. And the characterizations are quite rich---its definitely got the mark of superior writing to it. The kids don't see the Big Lebowski, Star Trek and Trainspotting references, while the adults do. Its just a great and intelligent show.
