Not sure how it works in PA, but in Georgia he would be in a level 3 (medium) security facility and probably in the segregation unit for his protection. The general rule of thumb is at least 100 miles from home at first. Longer if they are disruptive.

KrispyKritter: a lot of TV programs tell me this fellow will be in a very protected area with people just like him. he will not suffer even a tiny bit of the horror he put upon lord knows how many innocent children. and that is just so sad.

i think monsters like Sandusky are why so many people have faith, religion. because it's just too hard for them to fathom that you can be a wonderfully kind person all your life or you can be a child rapist all your life. and in the end all you are is worm fodder. i think for many the truth is just too unkind.

I watch a shiatload of prison shows and sometimes they get the guy, even if he is in adseg. If he gets put into a minimum security place for nonviolent offenders, he probably doesn't have much to worry about though.
