Next time I actually am at a con (and hopefully someday when I can attend one whilst NOT working at said con :D) I'll have to see how much the Zeon flags are in the merch room...I was tempted, very tempted, especially after having seen the first MS Gundam compilation movie in one of the few periods of down-time I had. :D

(Was at the time UC-Gundam-curious. Found I liked UC. :D)

/probably is also one of the few people to admit to liking Turn A Gundam at that--the series that proves the Ministry of Agriculture IS in charge of Gundam, at least if certain methods of bovine transport come into play :D

I actually really enjoyed Turn A. Zeta is still on top for me though. G Gundam is a pretty fun series if you go into not expecting Gundam.

Never said G Gundam wasn't fun in its own silly sort of way, just that it's not so much a Gundam series as a Street Fighter-esque fighting anime with big robots. :D (And boy does it piss off Gundamentalists. :D) It'd probably actually have done decently as its own non-Gundam franchise, to be honest (but Bandai wanted to sell gunpla, damnit) :D

And pretty much that's how I watch it--"not Gundam, but damn this is amusing in its own right".

(Then again, I also like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann because it's a series so over-the-top that it can cause testosterone poisoning in women. :D)

Zeta is actually on the list of "Stuff to borrow to watch" (wow, there's a lot of UC to go through hehehe) and I've heard it's probably the best of the UC full series...it SOUNDS interesting, at any rate.
