Whoa whoa whoa, we can't expect the Rockies to address the main item that has been there through all of their terrible decisions and bad seasons. No can do.

Fire O'Dowd

Also, Trade TULO!

Tell Helton to hang it up

Get Giambi off the darn roster.

Ask the O's if they'll give us Hammel back.

Gee golly willickers you're right. Twas quite silly of me to assume that they would want to try a different gm after giving the current one only 13 seasons to succeed! He only needs 13 more and then maybe we can evaluate his performance as it is most definitely too early to tell right now.

Goddamn altitude. If you put their W-L record in the humidor for a little while, they actually become a 71-win team this year.

Twas silly of you indeed. Alas, a manager who posts a 98-loss season is an easy target. He likely would have been fired anyway, no matter what the idiots in the front office say.

I think we can all agree that he was a key and integral part of their 21 out of 22 game run that got them into the World Series. He was just down on that field day after day just GMing the hell out of the place. That gets him at least 10 more years.

I don't follow the Rockies closely at all so I was surprised when I read about that situation this morning...a farking sabermetrician in the clubhouse dictating line-ups and rotations to the manager? Can't see any big name manager going to Denver and putting up with that....they'll hire some career minor league player who just wants his shot at managing...

/lucky, I guess

Helton re-did his deal a year or two ago, deferring money over 10 years after 2014. He's only owed $5 mil in 2013 and $1.3 million in 2014.

They'll trade Tulo. Maybe not this year or next, but definitely in 2015 or 2016, as there's no way on hell they will pay him the $20 million he is owed in those years. I can easily see some team like the Yankees come in and get Tulo, because they know the Rockies will have to eat a significant portion of his contract.

The Colorado Rockies can't figure out why having a micromanaging front office playing in low earth orbit would scare their manager competent pitchers away

FTFY, Subby.

/Tracy was unlucky
//O'Dowd offered to fire himself and the owner refused

D-backs tried that with AJ f'n Hinch. It did not go well.

Never underestimate the ability of the Colorado Rockies to raise the bar on incompetency.

I will continue to go to Rockies games no matter how many they lose, but this is getting ridiculous.

As long as you keep going and lining The Monforts' pockets through paying for tickets and those $10 beers, the more they will think everything is fine.

The beers are 7$ (piss is available for 6$). And even when they suck the Rockies are always entertaining to watch. I have more important things to get worked up about. I just like watching baseball 4 or 5 times a year.

The number of comments in this thread accurately mirrors the level of enthusiam most baseball fans who would generally support the Rockies currently have toward that ineptly run organization.

The Monforts are low rent owners in a high rent game and are quite satisfied with the product on and off the field so long as the revenue stream is positive.

I also find it quite amusing that the one person who "supports" the Rockies goes to 4-5 games a year. It's a shame really because a day at Coors Field and the surrounding area is so much fun when the baseball is at least competitive and the fans come out.

ps 1: Get rid of George (I was the epitomy of a journeyman pitcher) Frazier. He and his broadcast partner make it seem like with a break here and a break there the Rockies would have won 90 games.

ps 2: Any team that EY Jr can make is in bad shape. All due respect but he is turrible.
