Those comments Saban made recently about how the game is too fast and officials should look into slowing the speed down, that was some of the most asinine bullshiat I've read in a while.

hulk hogan meat shoes: It's too bad nothing will come of Ohio State being a top ten team. I guess that's the price you pay for being on a team whose players sold awards for food money.

Huh, I never knew you could eat tattoos.

I mean, he might as well just be honest and say, "I recruited everyone I have based on one way to play football, and I have the best in the country at playing that way. No fair playing a different way so I might lose."

Verzio: I am hoping to see the regular season end with Ohio State as the only team from any AQ conference to be undefeated. With Penn State #2 in the Leaders.

And the #3 in the Leaders pulling off a miracle to win the Big Ten championship game, and going with its four (or perhaps more) losses to the Rose Bowl.

(Chortle, chortle, chortle.)

Did a terrible Illinois team get to the Rose Bowl a few years back with three or four losses and not even win the Big Ten?

Sargun: 7th Son of a 7th Son: If SC can beat both LSU and Fla, then they should be #2 if not #1.

LSU and Florida are both above-average teams. LSU has a great defense but can't run a ball to save its life, and Florida is so bad they barely outscored the most anemic offense since, well, insert any anemic offensive cliche here.

Florida's passing game sucks, however, they won that game because their running game is starting to click and they're going the old school smash mouth football route. It's not what you usually see in the SEC, but it seems to be working for them.

robsul82: ND in the top 5 next week. Book it! lol

Overambitious, but if they can knock off Stanford and Oklahoma (and not go and somehow lose to BYU in between) they'll be in the top 5. The teams above them by virtue of playing one another are going to have to notch up losses, and somebody in the top 6 is going to get upset.

And say what you want about who they've played, fact is they're #2 in points per game allowed, the offense is suspect, but that defense is for real.

Go Irish.

davidphogan: SnarfVader: davidphogan: Oregon and Oregon State are both in the top 10? Weird...

If that trend continues the Civil War game would be beyond awesome.

I hope they both go into it undefeated.

That would be a hell of a thing.

Every mark Richt coached team ranked in the top 10 needs an asterisk that says *"warning team coached by an overpaid complacent coach, results may vary"

Say its a betting warning......

Uncle Pooky: theurge14: I'm sure I'm totally alone on this one but Iowa State probably deserves a little more credit for beating ranked TCU at TCU. But hey, we can't pass the opportunity to put a garbage 3-2 Michigan in the Top 25 now can we?

Wasn't TCU missing their starting QB?

Fair enough, but 3-2 Michigan? I'd be happy with Ohio on there too.

Oh well.

What? My Huskers were drop-kicked out of the top 25? But they looked great against the Buckeyes after the first quarter ended last night.

...that game ended after one quarter, right?

It was a great weekend to be a Gator. Florida finally seems to be back, FSU lost to a crappy team and Georgia got absolutely pounded.
