xl5150: I don't see a problem with letting her go. There are some people who should work with kids and some who shouldn't. I admit that I enjoy looking at racy pictures of women, but that doesn't mean that the women who pose for pictures like that should be entrusted with being role models or otherwise shaping the future of kids who come to them looking for advice and guidance.

I have a daughter on the way, and when she's in school I'm going to make sure that none of the teachers and faculty she comes into contact with have made poor decisions such as this.

And if your daughter poses in a bikini at age 19 you would TOTALLY support her wearing the scarlet letter for the rest of her life, right?

lingerie photos? lingerie photos!

She's going to cost them millions over this case of constructive dismissal. She was 20 and near perfect. Do we have any current photos? I personally believe that all hot chicks should do a photoshoot in their prime so the world has a record of that fleeting beauty.

Once upon a time it was unconscionable to think that a U.S. President could be elected with the public knowing he'd ever had a "toke" from a marijuana cigarette or "joint." Not enough to come down with the reefer madness, mind you, but inhaling the smoke. Perhaps he sought a high, or just to appear "hip" and "with it" to his contemporaries as they sat around thumbing their noses at the "squares."

Imagine Truman, Eisenhower, or Nixon smoking a hookah filled with "Maui Jane" or "Columbian Wowie". You can't conceive of it, can you? Of course not. Herbert Hoover High? Nonsense. But fast forward, though. Fast forward as if you were on the amphetamines, and you'll find not only one, but the last three Presidents of the United States, one still in office and the previous two elected to two terms each. All of them confessing to having smoked hand-rolled marijuana cigarettes, or "doobies", when they were still young men.

I can see a day when many of our elected officials will admit to having used not only the marijuana, but amphetamines or "pep pills", perhaps the ecstasy drug for dancing to the dubbed step-music. And not only the recreational drug use, but the photographs, video-tapes, you-tubes, and sext messages containing graphic content will come to light. We will find out as our mayors, congressional representatives, school board members, aldermen, senators, and yes, even the highest office in the land have participated in these deviant, counter-culture activities. For, you see, as these practices become more mainstream, they are no longer deviant or counter-culture, but the rites of passage of our youths and eventually the Sunday afternoon past-times of our seniors.

Perhaps even now, the young man who will campaign for the office of President of the United States, is laying on a table, wearing a lacy brassiere, eye makeup, garters, stockings, and high heeled shoes. His legs are in a sling suspended from the ceiling and his hands are cuffed and held over his head. His young lady friend wears a harness displaying large, silicone phallus. Wearing this "strap-on" she will simulate the act of sexual intercourse with the young man, except in this instance the traditional roles of husband and wife are reversed, turning the marital union on its head, as it were. And should this young man display the level-headedness, fortitude, and rational thinking needed to lead our great nation, it's entirely possible that we will not be concerned that he so documented his peculiar sexual predilections. We'll find it utterly unremarkable. Perhaps even charming as we nod and wink over our coffee, remembering the times that we, in our youth, wore a Darth Vader buttplug to work and sent a text message to our sweethearts telling them about it. Or perhaps used the camera in our "Smart" cellular telephone to capture an image me flicking my tongue at my nipple ring, or showing my penis encased in a chastity-cage with a text-overly saying, "Day 46".

Then we'll all remember when Bob Dylan sang, "The TImes, They ARE Changing" and wonder what self-stimulating sexual apparatus encased his genitals while he did.

Geesh, you must be boring.

When you're young, most of your time is spend making poor decisions.
Eventually, you outgrow that stage.

Theaetetus: stevarooni: Not that I think it's right for her to be fired for this, but if her litigation is all about this one event, then I can't imagine her sex discrimination and 1st amendment suits are going to have traction. Wrongful termination? Maybe so.

The sex discrimination claim won't be about her being fired over pictures, it'll be that they really fired her to avoid having to give a woman tenure. It'll focus on the gender ratio of tenured teachers compared the ratio of teachers who are employed and/or up for tenure soon. If lots of female teachers keep getting fired shortly before obtaining tenure, that's sex discrimination.

Or statistics... Seriously, about 9 out of 10 teachers are women. You really think that over 90% of those not receiving tenure are women? -Even if they were, that would be a stretch to prove with statistical anomalies meaning that can vary *at least* another 5%.

Considering she's been cleared of this twice and cited of excellent performance reviews each time, I suspect she may have grounds for undue termination.

Not gonna happen. I've already got the schools picked out and funded all the way through USC, and I'll be paying for all of it.

I'm sensing that your daughter will at some point have reason for rebellion, and that will lead to some sort of poor choice. And if she's pretty, something sexy to piss you off.
