Geesh, you must be boring.

When you're young, most of your time is spend making poor decisions.
Eventually, you outgrow that stage.

In order to become old and wise, you must first be young and stupid

I'm sensing that your daughter will at some point have reason for rebellion, and that will lead to some sort of poor choice. And if she's pretty, something sexy to piss you off.

84,000.00 a year to be a GUIDANCE COUNSELER?????

Even in NYC, this is outrageous. And TENURE???

TENURE IS F.B.S.
No other position in society offers tenure, WHY DO TEACHERS GET IT???

I've just about had enough of these "I'm entitled to this", or" if the parents would only get involved" BS, you knew what being a teacher was all about when you became one, so STFU!!!

If a kid has access to pictures of a teacher scantily clad from 17 years ago and goatse I can see why the old pictures of the teacher could cause a problem.

You don't go to parties. You don't go to bars within a two-town radius of your school, and you pretty much abandon Facebook. You don't dress up like anything fun for Halloween, and you are NEVER, EVER pictured near alcohol, let alone drinking it. please kill me now.

Governments, corporations, institutions of all sorts - dickheads are in charge of the lot. Worldwide. Move up high enough in any organisation and its all dickheads. Usually beginning with anyone given authority over others.

So what about bikini shots? This is about the same level regarding puritan outrage, and will get increasingly more common with social networking leftovers.

What's next, asking a fireman whether he posed for a calender before rescuing you? Because you surely would rather get to the Pearly Gates a bit earlier instead...

She's going to cost them millions over this case of constructive dismissal. She was 20 and near perfect. Do we have any current photos? I personally believe that all hot chicks should do a photoshoot in their prime so the world has a record of that fleeting beauty.

Shouldn't be a problem! Most hot chicks love the camera.

Where are the pics that are actually her, not her face pasted on hip hop models?

2012-10-07 03:46:10 PM
Yeah, the fact that was discovered mere days before she was to gain tenure certainly makes the timing look very suspicious. The photos are just a convenient excuse to fire someone who it appears has an exemplary work record.

One of the worst things our culture is undergoing is the loss of the ability to forget. Forgetfulness has been, in many cases, a blessing. Forgetfulness meant that there were no pictures of the time you got stupid-drunk and passed out. No pictures of you sucking on a bong. You and your girlfriend took racy polaroids of each other but they got forgotten at the back of a drawer after you broke up and were eventually thrown out. That misdemeanor arrest for public urination or shoplifting was at the back of a file cabinet in a disused lavatory in the basement of the courthouse in your college town with "Beware of the Leopard" on the door and anyway nobody cared about stuff like that from more than five years back.

In about 20 years it'll be the 10% of Americans who've never made a stupid decision in their lives who'll be the only people able to get a job. *Any* job.

AbbeySomeone: Oh, what? Black woman in a position of influence? Prettier than us and influencing our kids? I am outraged!

Regardless of color, I would not be comfortable with someone who makes decisions like that being in a position of authority with my kid. I would certainly work to get her fired if she were around my kid and something like that came to light.

2012-10-07 03:46:35 PM

So you've done background checks on everyone your daughter may come in contact with? Because I'm pretty sure almost everyone has made choices you would consider "poor". Or maybe you should simply lock her in the house until she's 18.

No, I will make the investment to send her to private schools that have high enough morals and a vetting process of their own to ensure that she won't come into contact with someone like that. If it comes out that someone like that had slipped through the cracks, I would work hard to make sure that the offending person was fired (and probably the staff that hired her in the first place).

I suppose they'd fire anyone who'd ever been a Miss America contestant too, because of the swimsuit contest.

Firing someone for SFW pictures 17 years ago is stupid. I was on her side up until I saw she was asking for punitive damages, which makes me hesitate. If she's asking for something like a year's back salary in damages, I can see that. If she's asking for millions, then no, fark her. And good luck finding someone else who will hire you after that.

I'm still not sure if you are serious. How is doing modeling a poor moral choice? How can you live in California and be this conservative? It is confusing and unbelievable to say the least. Your proposed actions come off as petty and severe. You seem like the kind of person that is in favor of legislating morality.
