(Daily Mail)   Hey why didn't we have guidance counselors like this when subby was in school? Oh and she was fired for some pics taken over 17 years ago   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 138

With social media and people posting picture of every mundane and stupid thing they do how anyone will be able to become a teacher and stay a teacher after attending college where pictures of the racy and stupid actions are par for the course. If a kid has access to pictures of a teacher scantily clad from 17 years ago and goatse I can see why the old pictures of the teacher could cause a problem.

I would happily let her guide me.

Where are we going to get cops from?

If she was fired 17 years ago why are they bringing it up now? Just to rub it in?

Wow. Apparently high school guidance councelers make $85,000 a year. I chose the wrong job.

That's the first thing that crossed my mind when I read that part of TFA

A principal at Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers in Manhattan recommended she be fired after a student showed her photos of Ms Webb that he had found online.

What a farking coont.

Wait you can get tenure at a high school...?

I hope the judge rips the school board a new one for that case, because they have absolutely nothing to their case. Asshats all the way.

looks like it to me.

committee member 1 to committee member 2: "if we don't fire her now she'll have tenure and we'll never be rid of her. keep in mind we've tried twice before to get rid on her, it's now or never."

'Mo Girls Entertainment' and 'Showgirlz Exclusive.'

Why was the kid going to those websites? And if he was why would he show that to the principal. Someone needs to monitor their kids internet usage.

Not that I think it's right for her to be fired for this, but if her litigation is all about this one event, then I can't imagine her sex discrimination and 1st amendment suits are going to have traction. Wrongful termination? Maybe so.

lingerie photos? lingerie photos!

She's going to cost them millions over this case of constructive dismissal. She was 20 and near perfect. Do we have any current photos? I personally believe that all hot chicks should do a photoshoot in their prime so the world has a record of that fleeting beauty.

The sex discrimination claim won't be about her being fired over pictures, it'll be that they really fired her to avoid having to give a woman tenure. It'll focus on the gender ratio of tenured teachers compared the ratio of teachers who are employed and/or up for tenure soon. If lots of female teachers keep getting fired shortly before obtaining tenure, that's sex discrimination.

I don't see a problem with letting her go. There are some people who should work with kids and some who shouldn't. I admit that I enjoy looking at racy pictures of women, but that doesn't mean that the women who pose for pictures like that should be entrusted with being role models or otherwise shaping the future of kids who come to them looking for advice and guidance.

I have a daughter on the way, and when she's in school I'm going to make sure that none of the teachers and faculty she comes into contact with have made poor decisions such as this.

Well she has a masters and lives in a place where a studio starts at 1,600 and has the highest cost of living in the country. But would you be good at the job? if so yes come join the dark side we have retirement benefits

Both subby and eurotrader in the Boobies seem to have issues using the English language. Is there a fund we can contribute to, for the education of illiterate farkers? It's so sad.

It's Manhattan. Just as one example, I checked a cost of living calculator and it's the equivalent of making about $43,000 in Dallas, TX.

Geesh, you must be boring.

When you're young, most of your time is spend making poor decisions.
Eventually, you outgrow that stage.

Have fun making all the poor decisions you want. Just don't come crying when there are *gasp* consequences for those decisions. This is a prime example.

I hope your daughter becomes a stripper, only for like a couple months

Bah I had to click on a Daily Fail link to see what school. You're letting me down, Farkers.

I was going to snark on the Fail for misspelling "Murray" but I guess that's how Mr. Bergtraum spelled his name, so he's the illiterate one. Or I am.

I like that the Fail says "clearly photoshopped." I wonder if they can tell from the pixels.

Unlike several others posters on here I doubt this has anything to do with tenure.

Someone's been trying to get rid of her and now they have the votes to do it.

Not gonna happen. I've already got the schools picked out and funded all the way through USC, and I'll be paying for all of it.
