As far as I'm concerned, Lady Gaga gets a free pass for life for hanging with Clarence, and performing with him during one of his last performances.

TFA said "C" is the lowest health rating. I had no idea. I figured "F" would be the lowest. I've never seen anyone post anything lower than an "A" though.

Usually rather than posting a sub A grade, they close for "remodeling" and clean the place up.

That revelation was made more revolting still by the finding that staff were abandoning kitchen utensils in favour of their hands.

You don't have the option to not post your grade. However, if you ever see a restaurant with a "Grade Pending" posted, that means they got a bad grade and are contesting it (by cleaning furiously).

Forgot to add:

If you see a "B" posted, that means they either don't give a fark or they cleaned up from a "C".

Right.

There are also only 140 C's in all of Manhattan. Getting an A is pretty easy and getting a C is kinda hard -- you really have to screw up majorly.

Here are all of the violations:

1) Food worker does not use proper utensil to eliminate bare hand contact with food that will not receive adequate additional heat treatment.

2) Hand washing facility not provided in or near food preparation area and toilet room. Hot and cold running water at adequate pressure to enable cleanliness of employees not provided at facility. Soap and an acceptable hand-drying device not provided.

3) Personal cleanliness inadequate. Outer garment soiled with possible contaminant. Effective hair restraint not worn in an area where food is prepared.

4) Food not protected from potential source of contamination during storage, preparation, transportation, display or service.

5) Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.

6) Wiping cloths soiled or not stored in sanitizing solution.

7) Covered garbage receptacle not provided or inadequate, except that garbage receptacle may be uncovered during active use. Garbage storage area not properly constructed or maintained; grinder or compactor dirty.

8) Non-food contact surface improperly constructed. Unacceptable material used. Non-food contact surface or equipment improperly maintained and/or not properly sealed, raised, spaced or movable to allow accessibility for cleaning on all sides, above and underneath the unit.

The poor health grade is one thing.

In addition, the critics have been absolutely slamming the place left and right.

Daily News said the place was "worse than herpes" "DON'T MISS: None of the dishes we sampled qualify as a "don't miss."" and " incomprehensible imitation of a restaurant"

yelp pegs it at 2 stars, and eater has it on their "deathwatch" list
