If saying that nobody should have something because not everyone can have it isn't stupid, I don't know what is.

Yamaneko2: Fissile: For those of you going off on the usual derp about socialism, consider the following:

Until recently the kiddies in UK public schools had socialism as concerns school lunches, then the schools were taken over by Bain Capital types who decided to go all Ayn Rand on their entitled, little, parasite, public school asses by privatizing school lunch programs. This is what a "free market" school lunch looked like when the English versions of the Koch brothers decided to give the kiddies a lesson in capitalism.

[ballibeg.smugmug.com image 600x450]

Well a little UK school girl started a blog called Never Seconds describing her school lunches. The blog went viral, and after threatening the little girl and her parents, the brave free market heroes of the UK school system relented and actually made improvements.

Compare and contrast this with the "Surrender Monkeys" who always had socialism when it comes to feeding school kids.

France's Gourmet School Lunches

Suck it, Randoids.

Imagine the response in the USA if this were on the lunch menu:

Cantaloupe
Fish filet with sautéed organic vegetables and organic potatoes
Dairy: Organic camembert
Dessert: Organic compote (fruit sauce)

The kids would throw half the food away and go crying to the papers that the administration was not feeding them enough.

================

You're right. Government schools attempting to instill healthy eating habits in young children are evil and communistic. The freedom we have in the 'Murica is much better: Private argo-coroportions (that all receive government subsidies which aren't really welfare because it's welfare only when a single mom gets help from the government) that push poison on children, hooking them on eating habits that will lead to a lifetime of obesity, heart disease and cancer. When these children hit middle-age and are struck down by debilitating diseases the same CEO who set them up for a lifetime of suffering will scream bloody murder if anyone suggests that these unfortunate people be provided with government healthcare, since government healthcare is evil communism.

Americans: You really deserve what you are going to get.

AbbeySomeone: randomjsa: A talented head cook at a school in central Sweden has been told to stop baking fresh bread and to cut back on her wide-ranging veggie buffets because it was unfair that students at other schools didn't have access to the unusually tasty offerings.

Ahh, liberal thinking strikes again.

Here's an idea - Howsa 'bout they have the talented cook teach the other schools?

Already on it!

vpb: EnviroDude: Because raising the stands of the other schools is not an option.

Gotta love our progressive government schools

Yes, because healthy diet directives are all about socialisim.

Did anyone say her food was not healthy?

No its just the liberal idea of fairness, everyone must suffer equally.

A lunch lady whose food was "too good" for students at a Swedish school will be able to continue offering her tasty concoctions after local authorities said the episode was a "misunderstanding" -- an explanation that doesn't sit well with the cook. READ (3 COMMENTS) »
