No no no .. Thats not that actual start time, it is just the time I expect the first good wreck.

Really? omg .. I just went and looked it up and found out that the actual start time is 2:23 p.m. ET

Wow... pretty good guess on my part.

I change my wreck prediction to 3:35 then.

Nope, no rain forecast, just clouds, so the track will remain relatively cool.

It's a good schedule, but I don't understand the huge gap for September - if they want to go to October they could have just added a few more races.

Also some news about the NSCS race at Gilles Villenueve, right?

You mean with nationwide? Yeah, that sucks. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I've got a nice road course just outside Monterey they can use.

Nationwide cars taking the corkscrew would make some great TV.

Only the insanity that is Indycar could make us actually look forward to a race at Pocono. Heh.

As for your track, could you imagine the carnage of Jacques Villeneuve going into the corkscrew in a Nationwide car? Heh.

I'm pretty disappointed about the loss of Montreal, though. It's a fun course for those cars. From what I understand, the whole deal fell apart due to a start time dispute that might have been a gambit to get a Cup date.

Shadow Blasko: You see the end of the truck race?

Yeah, that was some crazy shiat. They spent about half a lap trying their hardest to have that wreck. Heh.

With NASCAR buying ALMS including the tracks I wonder if Road Atlanta might be in the Nationwide series at some point.

Here's to Regan's last run in the 78 car.
He's always good at plate tracks, hopefully he can go out with a bang and get in a good ride.

I'll be bouncing between this, the My Little Pony cosplay thread, and flushing the sealant out of the radiator on the jeep sometime around 4.

20 more minutes until I go find a race feed... wanna wait until at least engine start time to avoid the usual talking heads.

Romain Grosjean is definitely a contender for this year's IREC championship. Milka Duno started the season strong, but her limited schedule is hurting her chances. Jacques Villeneuve put in a commendable effort in Nationwide and Touring cars, but Takuma Sato is currently the points leader, but he doesn't have anymore Indycar events to fark up. However, if Kurt Busch manages to wreck one more Finch car today before bailing, he's likely to be the favorite. Though a second suspension or loss of his super license would certainly help Grosjean's chances.

Is there Indycar news afoot?

On top of what ClavellBCMI said, Kimi clipped Alonso's rear wheel with his wing while everyone was derping it up, which cut down Alonso's tire, spun him, and then he stalled and couldn't get going.

Massa finished second, leading to the hilarious backhanded compliment by Vettel that "I knew Alonso was out when I realized I was racing Felipe."

Kobayashi beat Webber on the start, was in second for awhile, and held on to a podium.

SPEED channel shiat itself for a fair number of laps, treating us to a black screen then an extended commercial break that'd make an ESPN exec cream his pants. Then they cut to commercial as soon as Kamui started addressing the Japanese crowd in a language not-English.

For any of you Joooonyerr fans who missed the Truck race, Mikey admitted on air that "Dale Jr. told me I'm no longer allowed to bump draft him. I've spun too many cars."

So consider that a bullet dodged.

will this be an actually watchable race, or another in a painfully long line of snooze-fests?
