Dafatone: steamingpile: John Nash: I barely prepared for FFL this year and the only plan I had in advance was to make sure I got McGahee in the middle rounds. So glad that worked out.

There is a reason the person who spends the least amount of time on their fantasy picks winds up winning, same as the new girl in the office wins the ncaa tournament picks, most of the time its dumb luck.

Fantasy sports arent worth the effort at all.

Football, yes Baseball, no. Fantasy baseball's all about setting your lineup and scouting the FA list every single day.

Any fantasy sport is 75% knowing the players, and 25% luck.

Lt. Cheese Weasel: SilentStrider: Cedric Benson or Chris Johnson?

Leaning towards Benson.

Benson. Johnson has been a total bust since he got paid.

Never would have taken johnson if I'd had the choice. Sadly, this was an autodraft.

kronicfeld: 2 Wrs: Boldin, Jordy, Hartline, DeSean. I'm thinking DeSean and Hartline.

Jordy, Boldin

eudemonist: Pick two:

Danny Woodhead vs. DEN
Andre Brown vs CLE
T.Y. Hilton vs GB
Shonn Greene vs HOU

Ugh. Woodhead and Brown, I guess. Hilton's a maybe, but I wouldn't play Greene if you put a gun to my head.

I hear you. Every time he gets the ball, he's making career decisions.

No opinion on Mendenhall or Battle? My gut says Battle, but my gut doesn't have the best record so far this season.

MyRandomName: Quick hint. Nobody on fark gives a shiat about your team. If you can't make a decision go to espn or Roto rankings. Most are only looking to verify the choice they already made.

I care, sunshine.

I've got RGIII starting and Alex Smith on the bench, but with Atlanta this week for my starter and Smith against Buffalo, I'm not so sure I should switch and go with Smith. Any thoughts?

2012-10-07 11:45:35 AM
Not sure if I should switch. Keep riding the rookie train because Atlanta isn't so great against the run, or switch because Atlanta is on a roll and Buffalo's D is horrible.

Wasilla Hillbilly: No opinion on Mendenhall or Battle? My gut says Battle, but my gut doesn't have the best record so far this season.

Mendenhall is going to get the start and they are going to want to see what he has got. The man was a stud before his injury. I see them using him a lot and wanting to see where he is at. I go Mendenhall for sure. None of the guys back there in the backfield now has proven to standout in any way, so he will get all the chances to prove he is back.

Which two do you start (WR + Flex):

Mendenhall vs. Philly
D. Hixon vs. Cleveland
James Jones vs. Indy

2012-10-07 11:52:23 AM
Fred Davis or Dennis Pitta? Pitta was steady the first 3 weeks but laid up a goose egg last week, and Davis seems to be rising

Jones for sure.
Hixon's matchup is better, but no guarantee he gets the targets. Mendenhall will get the work, but this is his first playing time of the year and Eagles D has been tough against the run.

Makes sense, but I'm still torn over this for some reason. I have Mendenhall in now, guess I'll just let it ride. I still suspect Battle could easily go off, and it could be his last chance for a big game this year. Then again, I'd really be pissed if Mendenhall got huge points on the bench. Don't need another Hartline incident this week.

I'd say RGIII. He should be able to get you some nice points with his legs.

These are my thoughts as well. I'm playing the top scorer in my league and am trying to decide between rolling the dice and hoping for a big game from Mendy vs. playing it safer and trying to squeeze out some points from Hixon.

First world problems.

I can see where you are at easily. Mendehall is playing Philly, Battle is playing NO but the way Norv has been wishy washy and his love of Matthews. I do not trust it.

Sargun: Randal2477: Sargun: Flacco or Brady?

Sancheez, of course.

Flacco has outperformed Brady like, twice, in the four games so far. And he's playing the Chiefs today while Brady is playing the Donkos

Flacco is due for a horrid performance. Brady against Denver? Points. Lots of them.

I like that call. My WRs a are so weak and I'm so deep at RB...I really need to trade.

I guess we should see how Rashard fares this week and hope Reggie bounces back.

I'm in a similar position of having to choose between Newton versus Seattle or Dalton versus Miami. I've had Dalton in most of the week, but I just can't bring myself to do it until the BYE. Never bench your stars. I'm also 1-3, fwiw.

2012-10-07 12:23:57 PM
Chris Johnson, Shonn Greene, or Donald Brown? Seems like no-win situation.

2012-10-07 12:28:12 PM
Pick two: F. Gore, M. Turner, C. Benson, or Chris Johnson?

Thinking Gore for sure...But going back and forth between Turner and Benson. Benson is playing against an Indy team that should in theory be down big in a hurry and is likely to get a lot of touches. Turner has been a good start for me the last couple of weeks and the Redskins aren't a great defense...

And then there's Chris Johnson...Who I think may have another big week now that teams are going to have to respect the passing game a little more. Though a lot of his yardage came in garbage time against Houston...

I've been starting Benson for the last three weeks. He's put up decent points against some pretty stout run defenses, and seems to be good for ~100 yds/wk. Now he just needs to pick up a few touchdowns, and avoid having Graham Harrell in the game.

Hes been a good flex start for me in my other league, Im just weary of making him one of my two starters. Unfortunately in this league I only get 2 RB and no Flex spot so I gotta weigh my options a little more.

Why the hell did anyone draft Chris Johnson after last year?

I'm not gonna do it, but the 'system' thinks I should start Greg Little over Eric Decker.

Got me curious so I took a look at our draft results. Chris Johnson went 1st round 9th overall, which left Lynch for me to grab with the last pick of the first round.

So, to the Chris Johnson faithful..This Bud's For you!

You could have removed him from your auto draft. Snark aside I wonder how I end up picking at the end of the draft every year and somehow always end up picking Steven Jackson despite telling myself I won't pick him.

This league was a last minute thought. I got invited into it about 30 minutes before they drafted because they needed an extra player. Cant complain too much about the results, but I wouldn't have picked him myself.

I have 125 points, with the Texans D due to put up a huge game, and I'm STILL going to lose this week.

Thanks, Colston. Thanks a lot.
