Cassel has to have the lead. He not only lost, he did it while unconcious

50 only? That only won twice last year.
Sanchez vs. the Texans Defense.

I got Arian Foster & the Texans Def. I need 55 fantasy points.
This can happen. The Jake is on my side.

/come on 83.4!

the X factor is Tebow and the number of snaps he takes away from Sanchez
Will the NYJ sacrifice him along with Sanchez or save him to sell seats for the next home game

davidphogan: Olympic Trolling Judge: Yet the Chargers are still on top of their division.

The NFL is weird, man.

Still undefeated against the AFC, and they've only lost one when the refs didn't help the home team.

What a farking joke the end of that game was...fugging ridiculous. They had to drum up a Breesus win somehow, and it took not calling the DPI in the interception along with an assload of horrible ticky-tack calls that wouldn't be called in just about any other game of the season on the Chargers final drive.

farking pro-wrestling is less rigged than that game was...

The NFL told the Saints they weren't allowed to show Payton on the JumboTron. Too bad, I would've liked to see Goodell suspend The JumboTron Guy.

Pretty much. Eli was right, you'll get screwed if you make the mistake of playing for the Chargers.

At one time only the Chifs Broncos and Raiders hated the Chargers and did whatever they could to make them lose. Now it is the entire NFL including the refs. Or the Chargers suck. Either way.

News release:

images.zap2it.com

In a cross-promotional effort between the NFL and NBC-Universal to spread the word about this Fall's hottest drama, Chicago Fire, the NFL refs have hosed the San Diego Chargers.

Be sure to tune in for the premiere on October 6th.

I got the arizona loss right (well, i should say i picked Rams to cover at i think 4.5) so i'm 1-0 giong in.

Fins @ Bengs (-4) 43
I think Bengs go to 4-1 here and relatively easily. Screw the points, Bengs and I like the over. 43 seems suspect given how both clubs can score.

Fins by 4. 1-1.

Vens (-7) @ Chiefs 45.5
I'm surprised the line is this low! Gotta say Edgar Allans outright.

1-2. 3 point win (plahying baseball in KC, final score 9-6.

Browns @ Giants (-13) 44
Browns are dreadful. I don't like this monster number, but there's no reason to think otherwise. and teh under is intriguing; for teams a collective 2-6, neither gives up a ton of points. I'll say Giants outright but I'd take the under

68 points. 2-2, gaitns by 14. i watched this one, and it was remarkable how with about 3:20 left int eh 2nd quarter, the Browns were on the NYG 25 or so, I think the score was 17-10. INT, NYG TD, celveland fumbles on the return, NYG TD, then NYG kciked a FG wiht 4 seconds left. In the space of about 3 game minutes, NYG scored 17 to take the game over.

GB (-7.5) @ Colts 48
I've heard chatter about how 2-2 GB is overrated,...
Against better judgment, I'm going to pick the Colts to cover. ....I think the COlts will keep it close at minimum
.

3-2. and GB is officially overrated.

ATL (-3.5) @ Wash 50.5
this should be higher...I can only think that this line is due to Wash's resurgence and an attempt to get more action on the number. so I'll say ATL outright. and the over!

4-2, ATL by 7.

PHI @ PITT (-2.5) 44.5
I have to say Stillers outright. You have to wonder when Mike Vick gets KTFO and the Nic Foles era starts. No idea on the o/u.

ugh. 4-3. Steelers by 2. bizarre how they set these skinny ass lines, and then they come true. and on a last second FG at that! what was there, 0:03 when they sent Suisham out there?

Bears (-3) @ Jax 40.5
3-1 Bears, 1-3 Jax. Bears have the 4th stingiest D in the NFL poinswise......Gotta say Bears outright.

5-3 in a curbstomp.

SEA @ CARO (-2) 44.5
Long roader for SEA.....I don't know why CARO is favored......huh. I'll pick SEA outright. I've seen them enough to know they're better than they appear and I think better than their record. SEA has teh 2nd best scorign D in teh NFL. 14.5 per. wow.

6-3 seahawks by 5. You can say it was "only" carolina but the Seahawks D is impressive through 5 games. only gave up 12 yesterday

Donks @ Pats (7.5) 52.5
no matter who wins, the team with the aging Super Bowl QB gets to 3-2 and can say they're in the thick of it, but the team with the aging Super Bowl QB falls to 2-3. I'm gonna say Denver covers this one......So take teh over!

6-4, Pats by 10, and double fail on the over as they combined for 52. gaaaaaaaaaa

buff @ SFO (-8) 43
tough two week roader for Rough Buff: a 2652 mile flight for this game and next week, 2202 mile hop to the Six Oh Deuce. I think SFO houses this one. the Bills are 3rd in NFL for worst scoring defense (32.8 per) while SFO is 4nd best at 16.2, and SFO is relatively high in points scored, something like 10th from memory. Not a good matchup numberswise....so smoke a bowl of Humboldt County's Finest, put on some GD @ Fillmore West 3/1/69, crack open some Anchor Steam, make a clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, make some Rice-A-Roni (it is the San Francisco treat) blow that cute guy at the sports bar, take SFO screw the points.

7-4, and that 42-pt margin has to be highest in the NFL so far. ouch.

Tenn @ Vikes (-5.5) 45
I'm not drinking the (purple) Kool Aid everyone else re vikes, but they are 3-1 and Tenn is baaaaaaaaaaaaad. Vikes outright. Over as well. They can score, Tenn can't stop a nosebleed.

8-4.

Bolts @ NO (-3.5) 52.5
Orleans has not won a regular season NFL game in TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE DAYS (Week 17, 1/1/12 beat Jax or Caro). wow. That said......NO going Operation Codename: Olympic Rings (think about it) would be a hoot. and I say it happens.....I'm tempted to pick NO to cover because that's a fun number but I think NO has given no reason to make us think otherwise. but hey, at least Brees' TD streak will be intact....rihgt?

well shiat. 8-5. I didn't watch a whole lot of it, just the last quarter or so but hey, they got it done.

MONDAY NIGHT:

Texans (-4.5) @ Jets 41

Texans outright. the worst possible stage for a lower tier football team wracked by injuries and charitably, mediocre QB play and a brewing "qb controversy" to host arguably the best team in football.
