I think that is the remake. In French (and grammar book French) it means would you like to go to bed with me. There is a joke because it has a meaning of 'put to sleep' too, but my French is not good so I may have been asking women if I could euthanize them.

Oh, lordy! "Grazing in the Grass" brings back so many good memories. My grandma, sister & I spent the summer in Prineville with my dad when he was a foreman at a local mint farm.

There was a tiny one-man radio station that broadcast from 8 a.m. 8 p.m. daily, except for Sunday. He always played that song to open and close the broadcast day.

Driftwood Lodge is anything but good.

Well it is cheap. I am more cheap than good. but is there anything good and cheap?

I don't know that it's horrible. Cheap would be the Bergmann. Bonus: it's just a bloc away from hng's place and has a bar in the basement.

I would assume the bar shuts down at some time. I would also assume I would be in it until then.

I have some vacation to take before the end of the calendar year. I can fly to Poland quicker, but I've never been to Alaska.

I think some of you guys might like the band Black Diamond Heavies They do a great cover of Oh Sinnerman. Kind of reminds me of HNG's vocals. I've been in love with this band since seeing them in North Dakota a few years back. Great stuff.

It's not the hotels that will do you in. It's the flight here. Alaska Airlines is the only game in town and they know it. I flew to England few years ago and the trip from Juneau to Seattle cost as much as the flight from Seattle to London. (And the 737's are old and have horrible health issues.)

If you have the time to kill, the ferry from Bellingham to Juneau is one hell of a trip. Takes three days.

Oh, I absolutely will. I have children that love music from the earliest recordings on... I constantly show young people music from '20's '30's 40's.. etc. It is awesome to see the reaction when they hear how amazing music can be. I love seeing and hearing people that love and enjoy music. I also enjoy when people play music that is "different".

Well I know I don't power all the way there but at some point I make the power for ya. ;)
Like servers in Anchorage...? Hell if I know.

I also don't currently make ANY power because I'm at the new plant in Anchorage that's currently being built.

I do need to get to Juneau someday though...

Gotta say that ending it with Coltrane rustled my jimmies...never "got" jazz - the tempo/melody/chord changes are just too disruptive IMO.

Firefox is a problem, IE *blech* works fine. YMMV.

Chrome works fine. Well it streams the audio... I don't know if there's any accompanying title: song text with it. If there is, I ain't getting it.

Have they switched to HTML5? That may be the problem. FF has some MAJOR JavaScript problems in v12+, mostly with incorrect behavior for event triggers, especially with HTML5 audio/video tags, but with others as well. Which is a shame because, even though Chrome performed faster, FF was the most succinct and correct browser for quite a long time.

Also, Safari claims to support HTML5, but the audio & video tags require QuickTime to be installed, so it actually isn't W3C complaint, since it depends upon a plug-in rather than being supported natively. Their calims to be compliant are false. But what do you expect from Apple?
