How do you know a cop is lying? His lips are moving.

i think committing two armed robberies while wearing a tracking anklet is reasonable cause for a "thug" label.

Here's my solution: Break his arms.

It's much harder to commit armed robbery in the future if you have two broken arms.

kingoomieiii: I wonder why Subby felt the need to throw "thug" in there.

It's code for "attractive and successful."

Hey, that's not true at all. Sometimes they lie in writing, on official forms and witness statements and such.

Misha80: He was probably stealing to pay for the tracking bracelet. I had one for a year when I was 18, it cost about $5500 for the year. The screwed up part is they just don't let you take it off until you have your fees all paid. $5500 may not seem like a lot, especially over a year, but when you can't find a job because you're on house arrest, it really sucks.

Everyone is up in arms over the private prisons, you see very little on how community corrections, probation, drug courts, etc. are a cash machine for the county and the companies that "service" the offenders.

umm $5500 is a shiatLOAD
that's like the price of a new car. for a friggin year

ThrobblefootSpectre: Um, did anyone else read past the headline? Because subby quite obviously didn't.

It was a written report from Omnilink that said the device had a status of "No Communication." And Omnilink admits that the device was already a replacement for a previous failed one, and the current one needed to be checked for proper operation.

The thing stops communicating and just coincidentally he's suddenly out robbing people? Whatever is going wrong with the devices, I'm betting it had help from this POS. I hope they toss his butt into juvie after this, he's clearly not a candidate for home detention.

It seems obvious to me that what we have here is a failure to communicate.
