She was hot when she was young. She's hot now that she's older. She's just been hot all her life. How does a person deal with that?

In post WWII Italy bicycles were serious business:

This lesson in proper Italian spelling brought to you by grammar nazis of Fark.

Ah yes, the old airhead. The only bike that ever left me stranded far from home with a sheared transmission output shaft and no way to bodge a temporary repair to get me home. Sorry, but in my personal book beemers are totally overrated. Well-made, but poorly engineered...

I'm not going to be able to ride a bike for an hour unless I get some private time or a shower.

Has it occurred to anyone that one reason Italians are buying fewer new cars is simply that most of them already own new cars ? Thanks to very generous cash for clunkers incentives in the last 10 years (part of Italy's plan to meet their goals under the Tokyo protocol), most Italians have, by now, junked their older, highly polluting cars in favour of new, cleaner, models.

Couple this with Italy's perennial love for the bicycle (stand on any mountain on a Sunday and you will see dozens of improvised pelotons of bikers going up, down, and around it at amazing speed), and the resulting new car sale vs new bicycle sale statistic should hardly surprise anyone.

Still, pictures of Monica Bellucci are always nice...

Funny you should mention it...

The Bike Test:

1. Are women present or represented at all?
2. Are the women presented as active subjects rather than passive objects?
3. If the gender were reversed, would the meaning stay more or less unchanged? (Or would the image become hilarious?)

nyseattitude: Agreed!

That tractor is way better than mine.

Ah, the old reddit switcheroo!

But in all seriousness, join a bike co-op. If one doesn't exist in your area, start one. Take up a collection for a few good books (The Barnetts Manual of Bicycle Repair) and all the tools you need, store them in your garage, and let people work in there once a week, like a Sunday afternoon (since they'll probably break something on Saturday if they're active).
