filter: have a locked down profile
dexaline: NeoCortex42: The rule of thumb should be that if you are worried about any one of your friends seeing a particular post or piece of information, don't post it. Also, never friend your boss. That should reduce Facebook complaints by about 95%.Also, never friend anyone who is friends with your boss.
macadamnut: Shaggy_C: People sometimes hit incorrect keys while typing, creating humorous spelling errors. This phenomenon is known as a "typo".A subset of these people effortlessly proofread what they type as they type. They are known as "literate".
OhioUGrad: filter: OhioUGrad: filter: How is it a privacy nightmare? I never post anything questionable, and have a locked down profile.Facebook still has any info you post, like, whatever, and sells that to companies......in case you've missed any news for the past like 2-3 years.Really??? You mean, if I give them info, they have my info? No shiat?!That is my point- only give them what you want them to have. That is not a privacy issue. A privacy issue is if your ISP sells your browsing habits to third parties. So, you've missed all the news stories about Facebook tracking you all over the net, and selling that information? There was a big story earlier this year about how they had some secret tracker that was almost impossible to delete. And saying they won't sell your info that you give them, and then selling it, is a privacy issue as well.
topcon: The "Goodbye America, Hello New York" was obviously a joke.
dofus: Facebook serves a useful purpose. If you're talking to someone and they mention they use Facebook a fair amount, you know right then and there that they're idiotic. Double the points for Twitter./There's a Firefox plug in that eliminates almost all references to Facebook//Even wipes out those little annoying 'like' buttons attached to everything
LeroyB: So is Facebook the new AOL?
padraig: Number 12 is just a typo. It's really not at all on the level of the 26 other ones.
Ima4nic8or: Never used facebook, probably never will. By the time I sort of started thinking about joining I started hearing about all the issues with lack of privacy and facebook's general disrespect for their users privacy. No thanks guys.
brantgoose: topcon: The "Goodbye America, Hello New York" was obviously a joke. But it's what Republicans reallly believe. And next to the "Like" button, they left the "i" out of the "Commie" button.
qsblues: How about an article that lists the reasons why it's a bad idea to have 7 billion people on the planet, and some ideas of how to thin out the herd?
kiwimoogle84: qsblues: How about an article that lists the reasons why it's a bad idea to have 7 billion people on the planet, and some ideas of how to thin out the herd?A good case of cholera.Wipe out everyone over 70 and under 7.
