They fail for the machine not dropping a giant cage on the lot of them at the end.

And is it just me, or were there several instances where they cheated with human interaction?

Also, just in case someone takes my biatching to seriously, is was kinda cool.

Would have been better in the end if they triggered a friendly neighborhood sized nuclear explosion, killing the crew and erasing the faulty DNA.

I thought the "point" of Rube Goldberg devices was that the internal processes follow a logical progression. That was just a dance routine.

The point of Rube Goldberg machines is that there is no point. They are overtly complicated and improbable devices that generally perform a simple end task. They are exercises in absurdity.

Precisely. Calvinball rules and all that. A higher def camera would have made for a smoother flow, but I have to hand it to them on the stacking of the shipping containers.

Didn't make it to the end. Does anyone die?

Anyone who didn't think that was cool is dead inside.

And while the level of fakery is interesting, it's actually not critical to my enjoyment. Either way it was extremely creative and looked like a tonne of fun to dream up, build, and share with the internet.

I'm usually pretty quick to point out meh-worthy videos posted here on Fark, but that was OK.

Got to give them points for thinking BIG, and some of the stunts could have gone completely wrong.

if the use of "artists" was any looser, it'd be ten bucks same as in Barstow.
