judging by all the errors, i'm guessing he was mashing the keyboard pretty hard.

on a related note: how batshiat insane do you have to be to run for the kansas house as a republican? i assume you have to be a birther. possibly even a grand dragon.

I am just saying, if you actually looked at what he wrote, he said that he does not see people in black or white but as red as in blood. Obviously this implies that his intent was not to be racist.

fair point. my second statement was a general statement. i didn't mean to imply the man was racist. but the "i have black friends" thing is a classic tipoff. and teabaggers LOVE to claim that it is in fact those who point out racism who are the racists. so that was the context under which i was operating.

but you're right; perhaps i was a tad hasty. perhaps this man is in fact a beacon of tolerance.

That's an alarming amount of grammatical errors for someone who represents the citizens.
Why do people continue to elect idiots?

This is the classic "he who smelt it, dealt it" theory propounded by Professor Allen West soon to be published as a monograph by Liberty University on its Grand Dragon Trade Press label. Look for his book tour coming to Fox News just as soon as he needs some more money.

Was he using the "I'm getting rid of racism by treating black people just the way I'd treat white people" line? That one never gets old.

Someone should tell him that it's okay that there's different races on earth, and it's okay to point out that there's different races on earth. The problem stems from thinking one race is inherently superior to another. We're not ALL the same, and that's the point. Life would suck if every single person was an amorphous gray blob, with no distinguishing features from any other amorphous gray blob. Rather than saying we should all be exactly alike, he should be saying we should praise and respect the differences in each other.

You know, if he wasn't pants-on-head retarded.

Why even bother with the "I have black friends" subterfuge? Just say "I don't like the blacks" and at least be honest. You're running for the Kansas state house. It's not like it's going to hurt you with the voters. They'll just call you a "straight shooter" or some such shiat.

Are those the same founding fathers who thought a black person was 3/5 ths of a real human? As I recall they didn't think women should vote either. Yep, the way the founding father's ideas founded the country is something we'll all willingly embrace I'm come election day.

/Farking GOP... I was far more tolerant during the last election, but this time around my patience for herp and derp is stretched to breaking. The fact that they've been campaigning to make sure Obama is a one term President since the day after McCain got his ass kicked is probably a factor admittedly.

Considering this is the same party that has no problem endorsing the man who feels there is such a thing as "legitimate rape" and that women's bodies can magically prevent pregnancy in cases of REAL rape, this doesn't even rate a "meh" from the Republican Party, I'm sure. No doubt they too have plenty of black friends who can prove that this was in no way a disrespectful or racist rant.

The people who whine the most about racialism are invariably the ones who/ve spent most of their lives blaming minorities for everything that ever went wrong in their lives. "Affirmative Action has kept me poor; it's unfair, no one's racist any more so we don't need it."

Much like Confederate sympathizers who biatch and moan about how much the South was oppressed during Reconstruction, but then turn around and complain about black people ever mentioning slavery. "I never owned a slave, so therefore everything that happened before I arrived on this planet is irrelevant and water under the bridge. Even if my grandpa was a Grand Dragon in the KKK and personally lynched several darkies."

/yes, I've actually heard that contorted rationalization
//sounds like it's just up your mental alley
