twomutts: destrip: I for one don't have a problem with this. Invasive species are a menace, and once established they are almost impossible to get rid of. Here in the US, just a few have become major problems: Argentine and red imported fire ants, Quagga mussels, "killer" bees, and tamarisk (which squander water supplies in arid areas.) "Garden" snails were introduced by people importing them to cultivate escargot. There are many more that I can't think of right now.She was warned, too, and kept selling the stuff before they nailed her. Hopefully a lesson was learned.Yup, the list goes on and on. Buckthorn, kudzu, asian carp, snakeheads, gypsy moths... There's a reason for the laws.
