Clash City Farker: I think the blind priest scene is the best.

Anytime we're over my Mom's house and someone has to leave early or unexpectedly she says:

" but . . . I was gonna make espresso"

Even his "bad" movies have great moments and lines. I can't pick anything up that's heavy without thinking:

"I got it. . . . I got it. . . . I got it. . . . I don't got it"

Funniest-Blazing Saddles hands down.
Best overall-Young Frankenstein (best concept, best production, etc)
Most underrated- Silent Movie

Worst-Dracula

Dracula: Dead and Loving It is one of my favorites.

/"No, but you can hold my hat."

"Dracula!"
"Dracula!
"DRACULA!"
"...Shedule?!"

//That invisible dancing sequence? At one point that was the longest CGI scene in movie history.

FU Subby, Dracula Dead and Loving It is classic. As funny as Young Frankenstein. I agree that Brooks had some misses the later years, but Dracula was a return to form and held the promise of more movies with the new ensemble cast Brooks had put together. It was cold hearted critical bastards like YOU who ruined it for all of us.

/Life Stinks - Still not funny

rickycal78: Thudfark: rickycal78: strangeguitar: The Good (and Great)

Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
Silent Movie
History of the World
The Producers

The Bad:
High Anxiety
Spaceballs
Life Stinks
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Dracula: Dead and Loving It

Meh:

The 12 Chairs

You're dead to me, not that you'd care.
I'd also move Men in Tights to the "Meh" section. It wasn't as good as some of his other works, but it still has plenty of quotable lines.

/Spaceballs was my first Brooks movie, still holds a special place in my heart, I don't care what anyone says.

Pssst.....

/MerchandisingMoichandising

FTFY.

If I had the money to spare, I would likely own half the shirts on that site by now.

May the lottery gods smile in your general direction

Spaceballer: Still waiting for Spaceballs II...

Though for certain that when the Star Wars prequel trilogy happened that we would see a sequel to Spaceballs (or at least Spaceballs 3: The search for Sapceballs 2)

So Scorsese should give back his for Shutter Island, right subby?

And Lucas never should've gotten his after the "prequel" trilogy...

And Warren Beatty didn't deserve one after Town and Country, Spielberg lost all credibility after A.I., Clint Eastwood gave up rights to his after Talking to an Empty Chair...

If you've never seen the original producers, do yourself a favor and check it out. Come for the Mel Brooks, stay for the Zero Mostel.

It's really a shame Gene Hackman didn't do more comedy.

So if I actually loved Dracula: Dead and Lovin' It and Robin Hood: Men In Tights.... the Fark-considered goods ones will be extremely hilarious to me I take it?

I didn't notice it so let me be the first to extend a laurel and hardy handshake to Mel.

Young Frankenstein has always been my favorite. The blind man scene is great but my fav has always been the candle/bookcase scene.

/Now listen to me very carefully. Do not put the candle back.

Via the transitive properties of Fark Movie Snobbery, these movies should actually kill you with how awesome they are. Watch at your own peril.

You didn't like Spaceballs or High Anxiety? I WILL FIND OUT WHERE YOU LIVE!

(And then make some popcorn and we will sit down and watch them together. Coz they're funny!)

/Recently re-watched High Anxiety on Netflix. It was a lot better than I remembered.
//You're probably on-target about Dracula: Dead and Loving It and Men in Tights. Whew.
