I took some no-doze once when I was about 12 studying for a massive test and ended up in the emergency room feeling like my heart was going to explode. Turns out I have atrial septal defect in my heart which causes palpitations. The ER doctor tells me he's glad this happened: "Now that you're hitting your experimental age... don't ever try any sort of speed; you might not make it to the ER next time."
