Of the five regular comic readers I know, I am the only male. Anecdote != data, I know, but it really seems counter to the cliche.

I'm sure the ladies I buy my comics from at Comics Paradise Plus in Fairmont WV would be surprised to hear that.

What's good in Marvel these days? I haven't been able to get into anything but Iron Man for a while now.

A good friend of ours does sketch card and cover work for Marvel and others. They should have had her do the covers since all of her characters have copious amounts of well,, take a guess...

Not much, sad to say. I guess it is not so much "fan" at this point, but "Stockholm syndrome affected masochist." I was an X-Freak, but between the horrible writing of that franchise (except X-Men: First Class") and the endless crossovers, I pretty much dumped that a couple years ago. (I mean, seriously, the PF? Again? That has become the most threadbare hat trick in the M.U.) At this point, I tend to only buy the miniseries, the good miniseries, from Marvel and then some independent titles, I tend to like the Fables spin off rather than the main titles these days. Empowered. Whatever Gail Simone is working on. I was reading The Red Star, but that vanished into the either.

I'm a huge comic fan, but I wager I've probably had more bare breasts in my immediate area in the past 25 years than subby will in his entire life. And no, that doesn't include strippers or nightclubs.

/and no, I'm not any kind of doctor, either.
//My girl is a comic fan, too, and she has wonderful breasts.
///However, the pink=breast cancer awareness campaign doesn't do as much as it could.

If the money wasted on "awareness" was used for research, we would have goddamn cure by now.

Unless it had been Rescue on the front cover...then it would've fit perfectly.

Hey Farkers, not to threadjack but since it's relevant:

My "Buffy" fansite is partnering with some female writers, bloggers, and others to create a campaign to get more "superwomen" in comics, TV, and movies. (Real, complex characters and not "boobs with guns.") If you're interested. We have started a Twitter live-chat with the #SuperWomen hashtag every two weeks and will be doing more in the future. I'm working on a marketing plan as an example to raise interest and will publish it there soon.

/ Yes, my website sucks :)

Unless you think Marvel's cover artists are wasting time they would normally be using on medical research, I don't think this is slowing anyone down

That's just about the thinnest I've ever seen Foglio draw Agatha, she's usually a bit thicker.

/loves Girl Genius, just wish I would never have started reading the webcomics and stuck to the book editions so I don't get frustrated when we only get a few panels with minor dialogue updates.

I wait each year until Xmas break and then read the previous year's GG. The pacing's just too slow to read on a weekly basis. And I say that as a Sluggy Freelance fan.

Ah, Rina Logan, star of the short-lived Wild Thing from MC2.

Marvel always treated their MC2 Characters like shiat, as evidenced by killing off the real Spider-Girl title so Joey Q's pet sassy Latina character could have the Spider-Girl name for a horrible 8 issue series that failed worse than Rob Liefeld in an anatomy class.

/that was when I started to give up on comics. NuDC sealed the deal.

I prefer Porn Hub's breast cancer campaign.

They will donate 1 penny to breast cancer research for every 30 videos watched from the Big Boobs or Small Boobs category.

Enough with the farking pink shiat. We're aware FFS.
