Without Jobs - Woz would of retired after 35 years as mid level printer engineer from HP instead of being insanely rich giving bad technology advice to the press and playing Segway Polo.

Aside from the fact that Woz left hp well before they got into printers, I doubt anybody doubts that (trying to get into computers would keep him on the wrong side of the Agilent split). Too many people have forgotten what a great company hp was (and a great place to be an engineer).

Jobs would presumably be a televised preacher or something.

With his skill at building a loyal base of worshipers, he would have been up there with Billy Graham.

What I've never gained from everything I've seen and heard from and about the man is a sense of a cohesive personality. It's never been clear to me who he really was and what he was really about. And these quotes aren't helping me much. He still seems to me like a man who was constantly at war with himself, a collection of disparate personalities and goals constantly battling for supremacy.

Very true, Subby.

Work gave me a iPhone 4. Huge disappointment.

The Android I had at another company was better and easier/simplier to use.

Does it also not include
"An Apple a day keeps the fat wallet at bay"?

On android, does resetting the phone to factory and resynchronizing with your contacts stores on 'the cloud' cause a bunch of shiatty duplicates? If not, I'll drop this iPhone like the paperweight it is.

From what I've read, that's exactly how he was. A collection of conflicting personality traits that shouldn't ever work together, but somehow did.

Before this gets ugly just buy and use the device you prefer and STFU.

Man, it wasn't going to take long for this to turn into a retard slap fight, I cannot imagine the level of tedium in someones life that they want to argue over the merits of a cell phone.

Say what you will about Steve Jobs, he made a unix based platform a force in desktop computing, and forced windows to improve exponentially. I think for the most part that is his legacy, is taking ideas that were good ideas whose implementation were bad, and making them very very good.

Well, he would have stolen those quotes, just like he stole the ideas for the PC.

You're a sane and logical person. What are you doing in this thread?

Does it include the one from his court statement where he said he was "sterile and infertile, and as a result thereof, did not have the physical capacity to procreate a child", leaving the mother of his child living on welfare, despite already being wealthy?

For all his detractors, just remember Jobs helped give us Pixar.
