bdub77: Headline of the week/month/year?

Reused joke from the original Sandusky thread, I believe. Well, one of the myriad Sandusky threads, at least.

Taking it in the shorts, are they?

That headline is about as awkward as trying to explain who Joe Paterno was to an 8 year old, dude.

"Sales of Paterno slash throats of 6 coeds, leaves them bleeding out on table"-- because it's just too irresistible to laugh about this kind of tragedy.

// No, you lighten up. It's not funny.

You're thinking of Craig James' memoir. And misremembering to boot.

Yeah, I think the first time this appeared was after the boobies*-Paterno game when Penn State ran out of time during a 4th quarter comeback

/*No, I did that myself

I'll wait a few years and pick up a copy at a yard sale in Hillbillyland.
Hopefully, the pages won't be too stuck together.

Sentencing is next week. And reports suggest that Sandusky wants to make a LONG statement about each victim, despite his lawyer saying "Shut up, moron."

Could be pretty nuts.

I submitted this yesterday - partly because it looks like PSU is starting to subtly acknowledge that Joe is bad for future business, but mostly because I saw it and recognized the song in the background - titled "Kids on the Run".

Love the artist, and assume the clip is too short to require copyright. Also, assume the person who chose it didn't mention its title to the PSU folks.

Those were hookers, no co-eds. And there were only five. REMEMBER THE FIVE.

UP by my parents house there is an art gallery. In the window they have a bunch of sports paintings that are collages. Since its Delaware they have them for all the DC/Baltimore/Philadelphia teams and assorted others. Right in the middle is a PSU one and Joe Pas big head in the middle of it. I will have to get a picture of it next time I visit the folks. I was gonna buy it for the lulz but they wanted like $200 for it, I didnt think it was that funny.

In the first week alone, 11,439 copies of the biography ... were sold

That's all it takes to reach #1 on the NYT bestseller list? Or do they count the way record labels do (or used to?) with copies shipped?

Subby wins. That is all.

Oh crap I laughed so hard at this headline. Going straight to hell, I am.

Oh, God... I thought I got the joke, then I looked a word back and got it again, then I looked another word back and got it AGAIN, viler and viler each time. It's like diving through multiple layers of Hell.

Coincidentally, that's what he's planning to say about a few victims.

Subby should not be getting any credit unless he is the genius that used this joke in the Sandusky thread from several months ago. It's the same exact joke. I remember this because the first time I saw it, I was laughing for days.
